1. Brakes worked by the looks of the actions just before the drivers taking off at breakneck speed. IMHO this has nothing to do with the Tesla and everything to do with the driver.

4. Tesla brakes and acceleration are mechanical – not software driven, the driver was most likely at fault. Lets see what the investigation concludes, but Tesla has all the data, which says the user had his foot fully down the whole time on accelerator pedal.
   Remember the Toyotas in the 90s where people said it accelerated out of control, turned out it was mostly driver error.
