Pretty cool but I still think it's way too expensive for what you get. I'd like to not have to spend over a grand to get any worthwhile performance. Until then it'll be no RT for me haha.
I was looking forward to playing this during winter break but now I am yet again heartbroken by another game in a poorly-released state. I am suffering here.
Can we use project lassoo to enable more cores usage?
Next gen update means NEXT gen that's not even out yet. Ps6 and 14900k etc…. 😉
Can't play this game in DX12 with my brand new AMD 7900 XT gpu at all, even with Ray Tracing off it still crashes. Very frustrating cause the Ray Tracing is soo good looking.
It's not worth the performance loss unfortunately. I wish I left my modded game un-updated. I miss W3EE.
An actual PC based video. Kinda wild how this channel does so much more console performance videos these days. It's not like you can change anything on console anyways.
i tried the new ultra settings, starting in a tavern. it was so dark that i was barely able to see anything. checked gamma level: was ok. turned off all raytracing and the tavern was light enough inside to play as usual. 🙂
3060ti, 5800x3D, 1080p.. 35fps with RT ON, is this joke? Everything feels off in this update. Its way worse than you are presenting. Floaty, delayed movement feels even worse than before. Try stress testing in forrest – 30fps, Novigrad 40. Forrests which are big portion of the game outside cities. Stress Test is a lie, this runs like hot garbage everywhere.
7 years and still the best RPG game out, Dragon age 4 has its work cut out for it, but given EA and Biowares recent rapsheet, am not holding my breath
The problem I have with the next gen Witcher 3 is with the water. The sea water looks like crystal clear freshwater when RT is on. This should be fixed.
I've been trying to use rivatuner to see the fps statistics in overlay but i can't get it to work in any setting (low to high) in DX12 steam version. In DX11 the fps overlay works correctly, even the embedded steam overlay works but not in DX12.
Lol, they just released a stability patch. Will you release an updated video?
they should release another version, not updated it
Ray tracing: still pointless unless you like walking around looking at all the shadows and shiny surfaces rather than playing the game
Need to replay this game. It's best RPG i ever played.
They really ought to find a solution to the CPU bottleneck, it's kind of crazy that the strongest consumer CPU build possible is getting fluctuations resulting in a barely playable framerate.
Thanks for your work Alex
This is not acceptable, you blasted calisto protocol for way less, but in this we need to low our expectations.
Alex should make a DF approved badge for well optimized games. Few of 2022 games would have earned it lol… PC games need more love from devs sigh
So … does it mean, that this 7 year old title wont run on a mid-tear machine like a Ryzen 3600 and a RX 5700/ XT?!
And how does it run on Steam Deck is always interesting since it should be one of the mostly sold "PCs" of 2022 and clearly should be the most sold "none Nintendo" handheld this year.
But that are questions that also can be answered next year!
Frohe Weihnachten und schöne Feiertage an Dich, Alex, und das ganze DF Team!
I know you're here watching this, Henry Cavill. Hi chad.
The Complete Edition is not the Next Gen Upgrade version. The Complete Edition has existed for several years and is merely the version that includes all the DLC's and Expansions.
No optimised settings?
