  1. I think humans have something in their brains that snaps when we are put in these situations. Sometimes we are capable of awe inspiring things. Action is always better than inaction and she did what needed to be done. I like how she did what the dog would have done. Panicked and made a bee line in a direction. She made a choice. This may sound like backseat driving but she should have just went under the water and looked. I’m a scuba diver and I’ve done “no overhead” ice diving on a few occasions. Without wind and disturbance… murky lake water (non flowing) that had 6-10 feet of visibility will magically have 30 feet. It’s cold with bad lighting depending on the ice thickness and snow and cloud cover but the one good thing is the visibility. Like a snow globe without motion. All the sediment and impurities that make the visibility poor… it all settles. You can see forever. In a pool you wouldn’t need goggles to see a lifeless (or still moving) dog. I’m glad it lived.

  2. I had to save my uncles Rottweiler after he fell in the frozen pool in Tennessee in Murfreesboro. We sat next to the fire all day and just warmed up. My body was so cold it was burning

  3. If only women these days were as brave as her,
Most women would just fall to the ground and scream for
their imaginary husband to come in shining armour and save the day
