13. oh I love you guys for helping him-oh I love horses so much-I used to live in Pennsylvania nearish to New Holland-what a hellish place for animals-don't get me started on the Amish-they literally use horses up=my vet used to drive along with them while they walked and led their very lame horse pulling the buggy-she did not trust them to not get in and trot and she worked long hours

17. Just a quick note, most amish people treat their horses and other farm animals like complete crap. They abuse them. One time I was at a fruit and vegetable stand and these amish kids had a tiny puppy which was sooo cute. Next thing you know it fell to the ground and was crawling away (because it couldnt walk barely could see yet) the kids were no where to be found. The puppy was close to where a car was parked, I grabbed the puppy and brought it over to the amish mother and scolded her for how her kids left the puppy on the ground. She smiled at me and walked away. But I have so many stories against the awful amish people I could share. They aren’t as innocent as they seem folks…

22. Retired horses are not always happy. They just need a lighter load. He was attached to his friends? I knew of a retired horse that grieved to death. He looks pretty good.

30. I wish more people would talk about how horribly the Amish treat their animals. Especially horses. The only thing they treat worse are women and children. They are not a wholesome society.

33. We have a percheron at our stable, he was rescued from a Amish kill pen, the sweetest horse ever, he just wants love and is great for the lesson kids, not to mention he's giant, and why was he in a kill pen you might ask? Because he was too small.
