  1. I played it when it released and even in those days it was a slog to get to the end. Just infuriating to no end with vapid characters who made no sense spouting dialogue that made you cringe before the common use of the word "cringe" existed. This is one game i'd love to see a compotent complete remake of, but if they don't go all the way I don't even want to see it on the shelves.

  2. I really like dirge. Idk why everyone acted like it was cool to hate on it. Twilight tho, is objectively bad. Or at least the books. A lot of people who were mega fans of it have come out later and said “I reread it and realized it’s a lot worse than I remember.” As a kid I was dragged to ALL the twilight movies with my friends. They absolutely loved it. I remember I had to take my friend to the store at midnight for one of the book releases lol.

  3. I like to attribute Dirge of Cerberus to that of the Shadow the Hedgehog game. Misunderstood on the outside and actually an okay game on the inside.
    Maybe I'm just stupid 😂

  4. I would like to see a DoC Remake…a Remake. Not a remaster. Not something in between like CC: Reunion. A remake. I hear you on the contagious hate for this game, but I would hate for the daily in this game to go largely untouched like CCR’s was. I think a hypothetical Remake of this game is already poised for much higher success now, thanks to Intermission, than it was back in 2007…but I hope they tear it down. I think you can keep a lot of the story beats, just with different pacing and delivery. I think recruiting actual party members gradually like a traditional FF game would also be helpful. This game was meant to flesh out the three characters from OG that got the least development, Vincent, Cait Sith and Yuffie. So it would be cool if, as the narrative progresses, you eventually get Cait Sith, then Yuffie, maybe Shelke…as actual party members to control, and just rollover whatever they Remake series combat ends up being. Yuffie’s was a slam dunk in Intermission so, making her playable in a game like this already makes it more attractive imo.

You said something interesting about the Multiplayer game in DoC. After looking at video clips of the multiplayer, that combat really gives me “The First Soldier” vibes, the recent mobile-only battle royale game that allows players to use different classes of SOLDIER operatives, and customize them to their liking. That game got cancelled recently, but the bones of the game were actually pretty good…with the majority mindset seemingly, “if this was on console I would have played it.” That is to say, maybe they could repackage those First Soldier assets into a DoC Multiplayer mode and ADD IT to a DoC Remake? This would also give it a sense of uniqueness and not make TFS’s cancellation feel like a total failure.

  5. "It's good." Its not, LOL. I played it myself and beat it, its ok.. it could be solid if it had a remaster. It makes Vincent look good, makes Cloud look very bad (he can't be Rosso the Crimson and it created the whole "Sephiroth only loses to cloud because he doesn't try" whereas Cloud can only match Rosso the crimson and Vincent who somehow fights off the sephiroth clones in advent children loses to her like twice. Nero and Weiss, neat.. BUT at the same time Weiss has only been Hojo aside from when we see him in crisis core. They also had the G reports, which teased us with a villain as good as Sephiroth–Genesis. But instead he became a zack fight–wasn't a villain in the conventional sense and just wanted to live, his whole story in crisis core is to live. Then he somehow becomes redeemed in crisis core seemingly… No, NO i'm not doing this, lol too many paragraphs and this video is probably clickbait, im not watching 33 minutes of it now, i'll come back and watch i just skiped to the last 11 minutes, but nothing is changing my mind. But combat, music and story suck. Also Hojo coming back is cringe af. Know what would've been cool gameplay wise? If the combat was closer to yakuza like a dragon and turn based, like squeenix trying to make a 3rd person shooter(Pretty sure it is..and I BEAT it but the gameplay is so forgettable and stale) was not a good idea–there were 3rd person shooters which were older and this somehow was BEHIND those games.

Also not opinion its not canon anymore, every freaking goddamn thing in the universe is now canon if its in the compilation A-Advent children, B–Before Crisis, C–Crisis Core–D–Dirge of Cerberus–E-Ever Crisis- ALL are canon. In remake they reference the previous avalance, reference crisis core which references dirge of cerberus. Also pretty sure the fact that rufus shinra is avalanche's real financial backer is referenced in remake… so sorry, 3:30am right now and maybe this is just clickbait but i'll give your video its due tomorrow, rather than just a 10 minute watch.
