Spread The Viralist

The RSPCA have been called to an overflow canal in the suburbs where there have been multiple reports of escaped animals. With its maze-like pathways, it’s a serious mission for the RSPCA to round up these helpless creatures before the water level rises and it’s too late.

From wounded pelicans to horses in jeopardy, Australia’s RSPCA are here to do everything they can to save the day. With amazing stories of bravery, empathy and courage, Animal Rescue is unlike anything you’ve seen.

  1. Soooo. Putting dogs to sleep cuz they don't pass a test. Hmm well my dog would have been put to sleep sleep in that case if the rspca got ahold of her. I adopted her because of her trauma, she is scared of strangers and takes a very long time to trust someone and she also is very nervous. But I gave her a second chance. It's been over a year now and she still makes progress. I highly recommend to rehome these special needs animals with trauma to people without kids that actively work with them.

  2. Usually, kittens fall to the lowest common denominator. This means that the social kittens will start to wonder why and what the new black kitten is exhibiting fear of, and then copy that fearful behavior, NOT the other way around (meaning, calm loving kitten’s behavior will not rub off on feral kitten). This is because fear is a dominate emotion, and the feral kitten will receive less handling (when a human approaches, she/he will run and hide), as will all the kittens now, because the foster Mom is always busy hunting up the feral kitten. I noticed that the foster Mom knew that the feral kitten needed one-on-one work.

  3. That Pom is gorgeous. Someone got really lucky with him. He seemed like a pretty happy guy when all was said and done. He definitely belonged to someone and was definitely loved- that’s why you always get ur pets microchipped! I feel like the location was off, or the owners don’t know he had be en found 🙁 makes my heart hurt

  4. If once you rescue an animal and its healthy why do you kill them to make room just let them loose so they can live and maybe some one might just take it in and love the animal

  5. Again, unless the animal is ill or severely injured and in great pain, it is not "euthanasia". Euthanasia is done for the good of the animal. Killing these animals is done just for convenience.

  6. Feral kittens can't be tamed? That's the most uneducated thing I have ever heard!! Shame RSPCA! They are too quick to euthanize, give the animals a chance! Geez, ridiculous!!

  7. The RSPCA is too fast to euthanize especially with dogs. Maybe the RSPCA should change their vocabulary. Use " killing" instead of euthanasia. Maybe it will change some outcomes.

  8. It is very troubling that terrified animals have to pass "behavior tests" in order to be up for re-homing in case they become aggressive to kids. Why can't they be adopted by a family without kids, or someone who has a particular interest in traumatized animals? There are many people who would have been very happy to take the dog that didn't pass his behavior test, for example. But the RSPCA workers are all very dedicated and skilled people, which is heartening to see. They don't make the rules and unfortunately have to abide by them.

  9. I fostered a tiny Chihuahua that was abandoned by her owners. The neighbors noticed her in the yard. Unfortunately she had a severe eye injury and it had to be removed. Happy ending though. She is now leading an amazing life in her new forever home.
