1. I used to have a chicken of the same breed saved from a slaughterhouse as well. She would crawl into my lap and knew her own name. She loved dirt baths too!

2. Why do some, and sometimes many, people post a bit of video, then post to watch the rest I have to go to Instagram? I don't want to use another social media account. I did make one there, but I don't like it, nor do I like having to sign up for multiple accounts when those accounts could very well be posted to just one of those things on the two I have, YouTube, and Instagram without having to hop all over the internet. So you want me to go to another, NO.

5. Ive seen those meat birds…yeah that is a very unhealthy unnatural breed. Sorry but a bird who becomes too heavy that it cant even move right and the life span is just wrong in my eyes

   No one who supports factory broiler and egg industry cares about animals. There needs to be a new word for the level of cruelty inflicted upon chickens, ( the smartest, cleanest and most affectionate of all domestic species).

12. Why do we allow these places to exist? Why do we accept what is obviously not good for you to eat? All to save a few bucks?! What a wonderful lesson in love and compassion for her daughter.

13. Cornish chickens, which is the variety used in factory farms, are genetically chosen for their ability to turn a little food into a lot of meat, very quickly. Because they are not chosen for strong bones and joints, their bodies cannot cope with the excess weight, and therefore they cannot live very long, even in the best of circumstances. The same is true of farmed turkeys, who cannot breed on their own anymore, due to the enormous breast area, so all are artificially inseminated. It was an incredible gift to these short-lived birds, to offer them a semblance of freedom and comfort. Please take notice of where your chicken/turkey meat and eggs come from, and demand only "pasture raised". You will support farmers, and give these animals a life in grass and sunshine – it's pricier, but better for all involved.

18. That mom should get her little girl a heritage breed chicken…it can live up to 7-8 years …lavender orpingtons are pretty and they don't have the issue over being bred for meat production…they are pretty docile too…I have many chickens and my lavender orpingtons are the gentlest.

21. For those who feel awful about factory farming but think they wont be able to switch to veganism: Consider supporting local livestock farms instead! You can SEE them and the condition they are in, local isnt ruthlessly industrialized and is much healthier for the animals involved. No local farms near you, or you dont think you have the budget? That's also perfectly ok, you can still spread awareness and inform others about veganism: Just cuz you dont think you can make the witch doesnt mean someone you know also can't, youd be surprised. Do something about this, put up posters, look into local farm land or farming oppurtunities you can support, even just by advertisement. Slander industrial farms: Even if you dont care about animals you should still be against them, they are unsanitary and produce low quality meat. We are talking feces in places it should not be and bad infections

23. Im so happy they did that for the chicken. Ive got 11 chickens like that and 2 ducks, and they are a lot of work but it is so worth it.
