  1. I liked the cartoon precisely for its maturity, this is very lacking in modern Western animation. Children should grow up, including through such serious elements. It is a pity that many people have forgotten about this and are running around with children as if they were made of glass, as a result of which many modern people have become very infantile.

  2. The part where death says, "Go ahead, run for it. Makes it more fun for me, " and then proceeds to rush after Puss, sent shivers down my spine. 😱

  3. Jack is the comedically evil villain that everyone has an easy time rooting against. Death is the antagonist that makes you question the protagonist, that puts him into perspective. I wouldn't even call him villain. And Puss's arc isn't in defeating him, like they did with Jack, but accepting him as a fact of life itself. In that way, Death is a very powerful and compelling character that both kids and adults can take away a lot of wisdom from. This is why I love dreamworks. They often miss and fall flat with their films(boss baby, trolls, antz, etc), but when they hit(Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Puss in Boots), they hit real real hard.

  4. No kidding, after watching the movie, I was kinda paranoid and thought I was hearing whistling 😂 Truly a great antagonist

  5. this only shows that we are gonna die in the end but we all have to value and cherish the life we have now, then, and in the future. YOLO as we say so live life and don't waste it. we are here with purpose.
