Folks in Texas dont Understand the meaning of slowing down in bad weather. Icy conditions are no exception until they're vehicles are literally up side down. To them everything on the roads are normal conditions 🤦. Dont watch out for the bad weather but watch out for the bad driving Texan. Hope Texas treats the roads but I won't hold my breath on that. Stay off the roads and be safe yall.

No sense in anyone losing their lives when all they needed to do is stay OFF the roads! Died needlessly! If you were at work when it started then you should have made arrangements to leave before it got bad, bad choice on employers to keep them till it was too dangerous to be on the roads.

I’m from upstate NY recently moved to Texas and the one thing that shocked me is how wreckless people drive here when the roads are not dry. In the north we understand when the roads are not dry whether it’s rain, sleet or snow you keep your distance and you don’t drive the normal speed limits. I have never seen so many accidents that could have been prevented. SMH. I have already had someone hit me from behind because they thought they could drive normal speed under wet conditions. This is crazy

Spending money to put migrants on busses and planes to place them in other areas may be an interesting way to share the burden…but too bad you couldn't have spent SOME of that money on more (and bigger in Texas) salt and sand trucks. You knew for days this was coming, and pre-treating roads — and especially overpasses — would have worked wonders.
