  1. I sure miss Eddie Murphey. Everything he says and does is funny.
    Loved seeing David Duchovny.

I get the feeling Julia and Jonah improv well together
Hysterical when The dad’s kufi got lit on fire

  2. I thought the movie was cute. And this was HUGE for Lauren. She’s on screen with A-List and highly awarded actors. Those who are saying the film is woke, etc. don’t understand black comedy or film. It’s a fun and uplifting film. I’m happy for Lauren.

  3. The love/relationship story wasn’t told well in this move. And I’m sorry, but they had zero chemistry. I would’ve enjoyed it more if I FELT their connection.

  4. Jonah being cast was a no for me. Only when he confronted Eddie's character about his love for his daughter, Lauren London's character, did he really step up and be real and heartfelt with his acting. That one scene is the best in the film. Also, that scraggly beard and slicked back hair was super lame…to me. I'm surprised Eddie's character in the barber shop scene didn't tell Jonah's character, "Hey man, if you're gonna marry my daughter, you better clean yourself up. My guys here will set you up." One more thing, the race humor throughout the movie was too cringe for me. Stereotypical and trying way too hard to come up with a clever script.

And personally, I would've cast Channing Tatum instead of Jonah Hill because at least Channing has a more street, soulful and cool way about him that would've worked really, really well with Lauren London and would've been the type of guy her character would've fallen for and gotten involved with. Jonah and Lauren had ZERO chemistry. Channing and Lauren would've been off the charts sexy and cool together. Oh well.

  5. Hollywood would make her go complete opposite of who she was really with and what she was about. There goes black history. Lauren London gone
