  1. Found a real channel which I really appreciate of and it’s name is “Removing Barnacles” The thumbnails may be deceiving but the channel just started and I’m pretty sure the owner just doesn’t have too big of an idea of how to use YouTube, thumbnails and such. But please do give it a check for anyone in the comments who see this!

  2. I hope more people see this, this is frikken cruel, I have a channel idea for them, glueing stuff to them self and burning it off with acid, just think of the asmr from the fizzing…

  3. I am feeling so low right now because I thought these poor turtles need help and some hero is out there to rescue but in reality the hero does not exist and we are just blinded by evil..

  4. I'm not really a turtle person. But I was casually reading about ways to remove barnacles from a fiberglass boat hull and found the whole "removing barnacles from marine life" thing through that. I didn't think anyone would go so far as to actually glue barnacles onto an animal, but I did think it must be really painful for turtles to have their shells scraped and smacked like that during the removal process. I thought to myself there must be a better way, if the barnacles had to be removed for the animal's well being. So I went scouting around to see if any actual credible marine rescue organizations did this kind of thing rather than random schmucks on the internet.

I found a post from the Dubai turtle rehab project begging people not to do it, and an article about a turtle with other health issues aside from barnacles being admitted to uShaka SeaWorld (which doesn't mention much about the barnacles themselves, besides "they are on this turtle who has other health problems"). And I found this video, too. That's when it finally occured to me that there are people in this world who would glue things to an animal's body for the sole purpose of making a YouTube or TikTok video about it and framing themselves as some kind of saviour when there was no issue in the first place. Faith in humanity lost again.

  5. YT should just stop giving money altogether to anyone, it would solve a shitload of problems. Most of the content on YT is fake anyways.

  6. for me, the worst part is the people who watch unironically this videos, I MEAN, HOW STUPlD YOU SHOULD BE TO THINK THIS VIDEOS ARE REAL?
IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL THEY TEACH YOU IN BIOLOGY THAT Barnacles are harmless, Why you should need to remove them WITH A FORK & A KNIFE?

  7. i'm glad i reported those videos as animal abuse back then , it felt so weird how they could pull out so many videos in short time and the contrast with videos with real sea turtles with barnacles rescues .
i didn't know it was this bad, i just had a tingle, a skin sensation, something i got from the "save animals from hunters traps" videos too and many others, i'm glad someone with a better and profounder understanding of the argument is explaining and shoving lights on it.
humans are gross when you see how low would they step for money (or clout nowadays)

  8. I think that maybe what will happen to this situation is the same that happened on Elsa Gate, YouTube isn't gonna do shit about it, and eventually when this becomes a big enough problem they're just gonna do a radical solution like removing monetization from any video that features a real animal

  9. So I’m curious, what happens to the turtles that actually get these barnacles on them naturally? How are they removed, if they are?

  10. This is ridiculous and cruel I want to tell you guys about another BS YouTube channel called Raas Reptiles that Glorifies the abuse of animals This guys promotes cruelty to animals – both wild and domestic animals as well as pet type animals being fed to Caiman Alligator and other reptiles. The victims' suffering and drowning is filmed and laughed and cheered about.. Using words like "Chomp Chomp" and Go get him boy to promote gory content. This guy is feeding babies to his reptiles, baby rabbits, baby chicks, baby ducklings. What's next a puppy? a kitten? This is sick disgusting content not fit for Youtube. Please help me knock him off the internet. Thanks.
