One of the best sword fights ever filmed…!
I wore my VHS rewinding to 2:00–2:35 as a kid. That tension tho…
0:30 Sounds like someone’s tripping over their words…
2:16 has stood out to me ever since I was a wee lady. Maybe it's cuz I saw it on a preview on a Disney vhs…
This is the best version of Robin Hood ever! No one can match Errol Flynn!!!
My most favorite movie of all time!!! There’s no Robin Hood better than Errol Flynn!!! I have three copies of this movie, it never gets old.
I don't understand the ending. It looks like Sir Guy reaches for his knife with his left hand, swings it around and tries to stab Robin but misses, and then Robin grabs it and pushes Gisbourne away. He grabs it with his left hand, and his sword is in his right. Yet in the shot where Gisborne is stabbed, Robin is holding his sword with his right hand and the knife is nowhere to be seen. Did I miss something here?
Wonderfully exciting!
Robin Hood just killed Sherlock Holmes!
This proves errol flynn was the best Robin Hood ever and he was born for that role and basil rathbone was the best guy of gisbourne and also the best sherlock Holmes ever I was surprised he was born in South Africa 🇿🇦 not England with that first name of his RIP to both of them brilliant memories of that film they gave us 💯👌👍🙏
But MGM/UA Home Videos Can Handle The Adventures of Robin Hood
That is WAAAAAY better than what one would expect from a movie from the 30s.
Flynn was Robin hood and rathbone was the best guy gisborne ever
Fun fact: Basil Rathbone actually taught Errol Flynn to sword fight but before they did Robin Hood. They did Captain Blood together first and that's where he taught him to begin with. Basil was a great swords man at the time
The greatest Robin hood ever and greatest sword fight ever plain and simple
Just spotted at 0:39, Gisbourne clearly gets Robin Hood in the chest before falling down the steps!!
One of my favorite movies! the knight at 1:57 is always my favorite!
one of the craziest stunts – Errol Flynn throwing the spear at Basil Rathbone… watch it slowly. that is insane! (:09 seconds into this clip)
Kick his ass, Robin! Kick his ass!
"Without such music, Robin (Erroll Flynn) would not have been so brave."
David Raksin (1994)
Is there a 3 minute version of this scene with dialogue before this fight under that time, if there is, send me the link to it. Please
2:13 prince of persia(1989) basement of battle motion
To anyone who knows anything about medieval fencing, the fighting looks a bit ridiculous, because broadswords aren't used like rapiers.
Still, it's the best and most pure-spirited Robin Hood movie made to this day. 🙂
