The tsunami that struck on December 26, 2004, remains one of the deadliest natural disasters in history in natural disasters. The massive wave, triggered by a 9.1 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia, affected over a dozen countries in the Indian Ocean, causing widespread destruction and claiming the lives of more than 230,000 people in natural disasters.

People don't understand when something like this happens it's not just one big 100 foot wave but 20 of smaller ones that do the rest of the damage. Like dropping a stone in the water and just count the ripples. Imagine a meteor the size of Texas! By by earth!
