Thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon left people stranded and flooded roads across the Tri-State.
Mojave County experienced consistent storms, with Lake Havasu City experiencing hail and numerous thunderstorms. The Topok area received a tornado warning for a possible funnel later in the afternoon, although no tornadoes were seen as of 7:30 p.m.

In Laughlin, water nearly reached car windows in some areas, and the streets of Casino Drive and Thomas Edison Drive were temporarily impassable due to flooding. As of 7:30 PM, Casino Drive between Harrah’s Laughlin Casino and the Bay Shore Inn was closed in both directions.
Rapid water rescues were carried out throughout the region, from Bullhead City to Golden Shores. Radio communications from the Mojave County Sheriff’s Office said County 1 to Golden Shores was closed due to flooding at one point, with rapid water relief along the road between Milestones 2 and 4. It was Citizens were trapped in a flood control channel on the east side of State Route 95 near Airport Center Drive, according to the Bullhead City Fire Department. He was pulled out to safety after clinging to a tree and waiting for rescue.
In Bullhead City, the SR-95 and 7th Street neighborhoods were closed for the afternoon due to flooding, shutting northbound and southbound lanes and diverting traffic to Bullhead Parkway via Laughlin Ranch Road. City officials were able to clear the affected area and reopen traffic around 5:30 p.m., according to a radio call. A video posted online showed McCormick Road turning into a river with rainwater tumbling downhill.
