In this video, pilots flying through volcanic ash faced a life-or-death emergency when their airplane’s engines failed. In an incredible display of airmanship and quick thinking, they had to think about what to do.

I’m just happy to see a video that’s not the Russian war. Yes ,being informed is lovely ,but we don’t need 200999999900 videos on it. Please keep putting out non war content,we are SICK of the war videos.
sad how little views theese videos get
Mt. Galunggung, sounds like final boss
OG's will remember this video
I've seen this somewhere
OH! I think we have this specific Boeing at the Museum I work at. Well, the Cockpit anyway. Just not in public display. I MIGHT be able to get a photo of the cockpit if wanted.
Give me a shout out
moody was in a good mood
You got something on the la riots?
BEEP BEEP BEEP
this was your first experiment on mining from air so you can mine atmospheres of gaseous giant planets from a satellite
Lol pilot says: see all of our engines are not working, we’re gonna crash, basically everyone is going to die, it’s just a small problem
nice that yall did somethin different but it wasnt this distressing you are over exenterating the story a bit
when you've seen all the mayday series and already knew what happened here XD
I remember seeing this story on aircraft investigation
The first 10 seconds revealed it was the British. I ain't even shocked or feel the need to continue after hearing that 😂😂
FINALLY A VIDEO THAT ENDS WELL FOR EVERYONE
Its SO MUCH MORE to this story. I would advise anybody who wants to know the entire details of events that happen that night to watch It on YouTube. Its an amazing story.
This was a triumph, primarily, of excellent training, airmanship and teamwork by all concerned including the cabin-crew. Capt Moody is very phlegmatic about it, I highly recommend looking for films of interviews with him.
Wait did that happen before or did you put some of the x-hundred days of nuclear war series characters in there?
Lack of oxygen is called hypoxia. No oxygen is called anoxia. In aviation we use the term hypoxia.
This is somewhat i accurate as the oxygen masks in the cockpit are not cheap, plastic yellow ones like the cabin ones. The crew have proper oxygen masks with proper oxygen tanks unlike the oxygen generators which last about 15 minutes in the cabin.
Wow! There was some pucker factor there!
IS that Ruslana and Meg at 4:55?
🫢👍
Nice video, although some details are missing and some have been added and off, the whole highlight of the story has been properly delivered, and in a radiant feeling.
Saint Elmo's fire, luminosity accompanying brushlike discharges of atmospheric electricity that sometimes appears as a faint light on the extremities of pointed objects such as church towers or the masts of ships during stormy weather, or along electric power lines. This should help anyone as confused as me. I knew of the movie from the 80's. It was awful btw. 😂
Good story mate
I love a couple of minutes out of the Sentinel you’re five minutes pallet
…and then they clapped.
Isn't this the plot of the movie Millennium? Except in the movie time travelers take the people to repopulate the future
So I'll tell ya most of what happens or you can watch mayday or as it's known in the UK air crash investigation anyway engine clogged up with ash and they almost crashed end of story
I remember seeing photos of the windshield after landing. It had been sand blasted so bad that it looked like a shower screen.
I love stories with a happy ending. 🥰
I remember Moody saying that… I was just perfect. Even the BBC aired it.
