4. ooh this Dungeon.. i had to replay it after EW due to multiple references to it and or its ending cutscene.
   so many references. have a hard time not spoiling stuff. XD

5. 5.3 is so whilesome. It's my most favorite patch of all the expansions.

18. at 3:14:17 – I don't think the ascians all hated each other. I think Emet can give that impression because of his arrogance and "savior" complex. He feels he is carrying others on his back when maybe he expected some of the others to carry more of a burden. He was a bit bitter, but that doesn't mean he or the others hated one another. And again, Emet is arrogant which can also come across as disdain.

19. The salmon filet line is a mistranslation. The incident is actually mentioned in the description of a particular fish caught in the Crystarium, and the fish he tried to open his letter with was a "Crystal Knife", which is a type knifefish. Knifefish are a real fish, so named for their resemblance to a blade.

20. Elidibus's VA is sublime. Definitely keep listening for all the subtle nuances in his voice, the acting is just so artfully done.

21. "See what you miss out on when you don't watch mechanics?!" – proceeds to miss out on the next mechanic entirely, I love it xD

23. I think the whole idea with the salmon fillet is that he was so distracted that when he reached down for a knife to open the letter, he grabbed the food on the plate instead; and didn’t notice until he tried to use it

25. You wondered if Elidibus had a voice actor prior to Shadowbringers? I believe someone in chat said no? If so, that's incorrect. Elidibus talks in cutscene #13 of the Heavensward quest, so you can see that in an inn with the Unending Journey book. It's the same voice actor that's used in Shadowbringers. As far as I can tell, that was the last time he was voiced before Shadowbringers. He pops up several times in the Dragonsong/Post-Dragonsong Heavensward quests, but all those scenes don't appear to be voiced.

27. Excited for the eventual 5.3 stream! Maybe the MSQ curator has told you guys already but 5.3 is a HEFTY boy, perhaps an earlier start time would be best?

28. to your Garlean third eye colour argument, I made my husbands Emet-Selch cosplay and we had the exact same argument about what colour to paint the "eye". I was saying yellow pearl and he was saying grey. we did white pearl with a touch of grey mixed in. Needless to say I started cackling when you guys had basically the same discussion.

29. I think that if visions of the star showers would awaken the Echo in the scions it would have already happened in Amaurot. Either they don't have the capacity to awaken it or they would need an even greater stimuli.

30. One thing that I thought they did REALLY well here, in the scene at about 3:14:00 and thereafter, is in making Elidibus' facial expressions COMPLETELY different from Ardbert's. In tandem with the voice change, it really makes him feel suddenly & completely alien.

32. So close to what I’d call my favorite trial in the game, and god damn I’m so excited. Seriously Garret, Kyle, you guys are so relaxing to listen to. And I’m so happy you guys have enjoyed my favorite expansion thusly.

33. This patch was released on February 18, 2020, then 5.25 came out April 7, 2020. Just in time for COVID-19 to start making itself known worldwide and start messing things up for everyone. They had even gotten their usual mogtome event up and going since those are normally run a month or so before the release of the next major patch.

    Thanks to that, 5.3 didn't release until August 12, 2020, but it did give people more time to catch up on other content, such as that one group who successfully completed The Unending Coils of Bahamut Ultimate with 8 Tanks, and those such as myself to clean out the Itinerant Moogle's entire inventory.

    As for 5.3 itself, you will probably need 2 MSQ broadcasts to do it all in.

34. the OG 1.0 version of the game also had the Starshower and the "Feel Hear Think" bit, but.. someone else was present, a 5 year younger Minfilia!

35. Did they realize the dungeon theme is actually a remix of Sastasha? it took me so long to figure that one out

36. My most favorite part of 5.2 – 5.3 were the dialogue options that let me gaslight the hell out of Elidibus. After 4 story arcs dealing with Ascians, finally having the option to absolutely tilt one before beating the crap out of them felt like the sweet release I've been waiting for ever since I started playing this game.
