I interview Patrick from Australia who in the late 80’s worked at Club Med in Phuket, Thailand. Patrick saved his life and the life of a young French woman when a romantic encounter on a beach in Phuket went wrong.
Patrick is also a retired police officer and dancer. He has recently bought a condo in Hua Hin and he tells us about his life in Thailand.

Hey, Patrick and Pete, what a great life story and Patrick what a great human beaning you are ! Just going through life with enthusiasm, duty and compassion and staying grounded as a young man and now still with the same sprit……WOW (and yes I know it's not easy in life to keep it all together at times). Keep true to ones inner self and I'm sure your journey will be a great one. Would love to hear more of Patrick's journey in the future Pete. Great Vlog……………… 🙏
Thumbs up 👍 Pete
What a great interview
Patrick is a true gentleman and thank you for sharing an interesting life story 😂
Cheers Chris
Great video Pete, nice down to earth guy & i hope viewers take note of his experience of the currents in Thailand, i have read of many expats & also tourists that have been swept out to sea & were found later drowned, he & the french lady were very lucky, his experiences as a policeman, i was on the edge of my seat about the guy who was hit by the train & what he had to witness & the outcome of it all, something that you would never forget, good advice on buying a condo too……..
Haha in the fifty’s They still hate the Irish in Perth. I lived there for 5 years from 2010. Will never be back. Every day someone had something smart to say to you. A crowd of racists Love the country though and the country Aussies were great. Just the people around Perth 😅😊
Him arriving at the beach reminds me of an incident that happened less than 2 years ago on Freedom Beach in Phuket. I arrived and saw a couple crying in shock. One of their friends had just drowned from the strong current.
It was strange feeling terrible at what happened and at the same time being amazed by the beauty of the beach with no other tourists due to covid.
Even if you are a strong swimmer, rip currents with rough waters can be dangerous.
Are you still in Ireland, or back in Thailand??
What an absolute gentleman.
"Aerobics/dancing for men wasn't big in Australia in the 80's" 😅
I have to say that as an Aussie, he's more British than Aussie. Far too refined 😅

I swear I went to St. Mary's in Boston with the guy in the upper left corner of the family picture. Horgan was his name. Or a similar facsimile of him. I love that huge pool at his condo.
Peter, Again a Nice and Interesting Interview, with a nice person! I wish him Good Luck in Hua Hin. 🙏
Great Aussie bloke! Can't hear him scream 555
Very good video. Amazing people who save lives .Take care of others, start by taking care of yourself.Thailand is also a haven for souls
He makes heroic claim of saving a woman who couldn't swim, but he took that woman into an ocean rip tide current… hero ? really?
A+
The most sympathic cop I've seen in my life. May his good deats bring him health and harmony so he gets a hundret years old
Outstanding editing, the old photos and videos are so illustrative of the changing times…
Well done Pete – another real person with a real sssssssstory TIM , PERTH AUSTRALIA 🇦🇺
Generally, are condos cheaper in Hua Hin than in Pattaya?
Great work Pete 👍👏. When are you back in Thailand?
Oooh heavy today! but an interesting one too. 🙏 Pete
Thanks For the videos Thairish diverse and straight up cheers
First! Yet another interesting guest. Thanks for that.
I was a friend to an EMT that told me he was called out to a murder of an individual that was hit from behind with a golf club. The club hit him in the back of his head where it had scooped out all of his brains and scattered the pieces unto the leaves and branches of a tree. His job was to collect the brain tissue from the tree branches and dispose of them properly.
