A massive explosion. Fire. And billowing smoke. When Capt. Brian Bews’ CF-18 jet crashed in July 2010, it was hard to believe he could emerge alive. In an exclusive interview with 16:9’s Mike Le Couteur, Capt. Bews reflects on surviving that horrific crash.

Until trudeau the scumbag is gone canada is just another ENEMY!
A couple hundred million dollars up in smoke. No big deal.
Why is he surprised a stalled jet falls out of the sky he pretends like it was the jets fault but in reality this stunt has a fine line of error between flight and stalling like he did here
❤️❤️❤️🙏Gods Bless yuo
Reporter is fat. She is a tank.
I’m here looking for alvin clarke..🤣🤣
Imho, that looks like a stall… Too slow too slow…
So glad he survived, crashes such as this could have easily went the other way. Glad he was ABLE to bail in that split second. Our Blue Angel pilots are one in a million, and we don't want to lose even one 😓😓 ,The plane can be replaced. What matters is that he survived.😓😓😓😓😓
It looks like the rockets in the seat did some maneuvering to get it upright in the air.
He stalled the jet. That's all there is to it. Doesn't matter if he practiced it "50 times"….you can literally see he stalled.
USAF veteran here. Fantastic job Airman!
When pilots say “my jet” it just feels like the best flex
Did- did The Bee Gees help him survive the crash?
I’m sorry- he took an aptitude test and it said he would be a bus driver?? What the hell kind of tests were they giving those kids??
So relieved when a pilot ejects before that big fireball. Then there’s a second when you’re thinking- What if he lands right into the fire??? But he didn’t. I don’t know why this story makes me happy. Been watching planes crash here on Yourself all night. This one was a happy ending, finally.
thank god he didnt hit the glass
Yep but captain Brian had done 60 stoppies in a fighter jet . He lost the right engine bearing and didn’t in the computers mind then take corrective action. , knowing the plane goes belly in it fired him out

Maybe it was goose that went into the engine
StayinAlive is what I do best too! 👍😁👍
how much did that cost?
0:52 well that's not something you see every day, what is the reason for the asymmetrical configuration? (Drop tank on the right wing but not on the left)
If that was any higher, I personally would’ve pushed full right aileron and down elevator to correct the stall.
(Please correct me if I am wrong).

Did this crash begin with a right engine stall?
he survived because of his ability and the technology. Not some imaginary being.
Classic stall and spin. Vmc got him.
Very sad. But even sadder is the farmed animals being killed with no second thought.
