More and more people are turning to the injectable for a bit of help looking lovelier, and today I’m talking about the risks you should bear in mind before deciding to go ahead with the treatment.

Nose and forehead??? I was convinced you'd say temples and under eyes!! Phew.
I’ve always thought complications even when administered by the best will still occur. Basic anatomy and physiology would dictate that. Isn’t that correct? The amount of variables would say you will have patients with complications at some point. Being educated and knowledgeable about how to treat issues is the best way to handle these situations.
Hello, do you find that filler (especially chin filler) will naturally go away after a year? Will the skin go back to normal?
After almost 3 weeks of fillers my lumps on my nasolabial area are still there. I went to my after 2 weeks follow up and injector did not seem concerned at all. They are not totally visible but I feel them, there are 3 on the same side of the mouth. I am planning to wait 1 more week and if they do not go down I will let her know. I am afraid she will charge for any correction and she is not cheap.
I. Got cheek fillers and my ear has been plugged. They tell me it's not from the fillers. Do you think this possible
I just wondered…If it happens..Vascular oclussion, It can help put your head down? like upsidedown? to help the blood goes with the flow or my idea Is crazy? XD
You have pillow face. Just saying.
I got really sick with a health issue that I've had for 3 years now after
about 5 bad experiences with fillers and Botox collectively. Symptoms
were dramatically changed, and frequent periods that were otherwise
regular my whole life, that came on within a day of injections, though I
wasn't due for 2 more weeks. Seizures was another symptom, in addition
to the severest of migraines, hallucinating, insomnia, vision loss,
short term memory loss, and clinical level panic attacks. All happened
within 24 hours of injections each time. Doctors and nurses excused it
all away as me being extraordinarily sensitive, that my reactions were
rare, and it would subside. Because these white coats have SO MUCH
undeserved power, I actually felt like I was insane for connecting the
symptoms with injections.
Finally, after I was already sick, a doctor told me she feels confident
that all the injections I had was the biggest trouble maker for my
health issue considering her experience with other patients. I am so
painfully embarrassed that I ever fell for it all. That vanity got the
best of me to the point where I'd inject a mystery formula into my FACE.
How disgusting that The Joneses have done this to our collective psyche. I'm so mad at myself.
LED light therapy, pro facials and giant salads stimulate a TON of collagen and elastin. You don't need
injectables. I've proven this to myself now.
Will my lip filler ever really dissolve on its own? I absolutely hate my lip shape now. I’m too scared at my age to get them dissolved. My tear trough filler is still going strong after two years 🙁
Thanks for this video! My only complication from dermal fillers (that I had just once) was that a small white line of scar tissue filled in my mouth corner a bit. It's not that noticeable but it's there and I worry about getting any more because what if it does somethng worse. Someone else said that must have been an injector error – like where the needle was put. I don't know. It developed quite a while after the filler was done.
I have been watching your channel and love how you say it how it is, but today I was thinking you can hardly move your face. Was this your intention re work you have done.. This is not hate on you just asking
What happens if you’ve had radiesse and you have issues, how do you dissolve it?
Is it possible when a filler is injected in the artery of the face and the solution could travel in the lungs resulting to embolism? Thank you so much for the answer.
Recently I had cheek fillers, I saw the nurse pour a blue liquid into a dish, have never seen this before during a procedure, what is this blue liquid ?
I'm having discomfort in the left cheek 8 weeks later
What about Flu like symptoms?
Radiesse cant be disolved once shot in blood vessel
😱
Can you please tell me what app you use for your before and after photos? I like rx photo but do not want to pay for the cost of it on a monthly basis, thanks!
Hi, is there any risk by using hyaluron pen only – though with the same fillers inside? Why I ask is because it’s a really very low depth in the skin, so I would guess zero risk especially the arterial ones.
when i heard 'less than a couple 100' going blind from filler out of 2M… that's actually a lot IMO lol
1:45 1). Swelling
3:37 2). Bruising
5:15 3.) Infection
6:24 4). Granuloma
8:18 5). Placement
10:18 6). Hypersensitivity
12:09 7). Necrosis
16:36 8). Blindness
This was very helpful thank you.
I wish I had listened to this BEFORE I got it. I got Juvederm Voluma on my cheeks yesterday, and I am freaking out about the bumps! What if it becomes infection? What if my face deforms? What if I get granuloma?! So much can happen!
"Less than a couple of hundreds" going blind. Thats not "a handfull"
Hey it was super interesting subject xoxoxoxo
She says a "handful" of people went blind in the U.S., then says, "less than a couple of hundred." That doesn't add up.
Banana peels work for bruising. But they have to be applied as much and as long as possible. But they work.
If you decided to talk about risks it would be better to tell "the whole story" not just the parts.
Thank you for another great video. Really shows how tough it is to find the right injector!
Thanks for the video. will getting cheek fillers help lift marionette folds? I am trying to find the best treatment for me without having to get a face lift. I am 43
Thanks a lot Dr. Tonks for this open and transparent explanation!
Iove the first 3 days after having my lips done… I hate when the swelling goes down 😂
I have that deepish "corner" between my forehead and the nose and some wrinkling there. My doctor, who is also a surgeon, says she will never incject a filler in this area because it is way too risky. I asked another doctor if this spot could be fixed and she said- 'yeah, no problem at all', without any warning about this area. Never contacted her again.
Very informative, thank you so much!
Guys, is it really likely for blindness/stroke to occur? I really want to get this done and these are all that’s holding me back☹️
What type of skin care products should be used after Juvaderm injections?
I had a Juvaderm injection on Monday at 1:00 pm, and by evening at had severe joint pain that continued into the next day, and got worse with a headache and nausea. It seemed like an unfavorable immune response. I am better after 36 hours of feeling sick. I have Celiac Disease which is an autoimmune disease. I want to have another injection because one side needs more. Do you think this is unwise due to my first reaction? I had no swelling or bruising at the site of the injection, My negative side effect was in my body.
I did nose filler 3months ago but it seems the redness on my nose doesn't go away! The doctor who did the procedure said maybe i have mild rosacea which i really dont have before so he gave me mirvaso but still the redness doesn't go away so he advised me to do laser. So i did nd yag laser this month but still waiting for best result to go awY the broken capillaries on my nose. Is it possible that my redness on my nose cause by filler? Because im thinking now to dissolve it maybe thats the cause of my redness on my nose since its really uncomfortable to me. And it bother me so much.
LADIES! Good news for us gals!!! Check out the new hyaluronic pen on YOU TUBE. WE CAN DO IT OURSELVES!!! NO NEEDLES. AIR PRESSURE PEN , You won't hit blood vessels!!! Sooo inexpensive and much much safer!! We all can afford this much better way.!!! Good bye to doctors who over charge!
What are you doing to your face ??
Are cheek fillers a low risk area ?? Have there been any severe complications with that area !?
Love your honesty when it comes to informing people of the complications of procedures. I also love your hairstyle … The length with the pretty curls on the ends …. especially with the softness of the pink tinge. 🙂
Could necrosis and blindness happen with PRP injections and the so-called vampire facelift as well?
Just get an abusive husband to punch your lips every so often
