Finally after a million years of your familiar with the game viva pinita it’s kind of similar to this I’ve waiting so long please allow this on console!
I played the trial version of this and ran into the same frustrations as you did. There is an extreme lack of directions on how to go about doing what they want you to do. It is like the developers forgot that not everyone knows the game and how to go about things. I also don't like that you can not key bind anything to your mouse.

You use the whistle and control the light beam to move your dog. Keep the dog behind the animal to "push" the sheep in the direction you want them to go.
you should be talking to grampa every day, basically whenever granma or granpa have anything to talk about, do it. but grampa especially as the "help with the farm" will get you free stuff daily
