  1. Will Anderson is the best defensive prospect coming outta collage since von Miller. He was even slightly more productive than von. If teams knew in hindsight how good players like Myles Garrett or jj watt or von Miller were gonna be before they were drafted they woulda spent more than what Texans spent on will Anderson. Texans are just taking a chance and putting money on him being at that lvl didn’t wanna miss out on him. They had morty of draft capital to make it work and still have capital left over. Not a single defensive player in next years draft better than will Anderson Texans took a big W and also saying will Anderson hair isn’t as good as a prospect as Myles Garrett is just false….will Anderson was more productive in collage than both bosa brothers both watt brothers Myles Garrett Khalil Mack max Crosby and even slightly more so than von Miller.. and is the best prospect defensively since von let alone Myles Garrett

  2. Neither was JJ when he came out of Wisconsin college. When we picked him they said the exact same. Houston fans were so mad. And when you look back he is the best Houston Texan player in history of our short franchise.

  3. The guy might not have too many splash plays but in modern D-1 CFB history he's the most consistent Edge. You don't get 30+ TFLs by losing reps nor having the most sacks in a single season and most in total in the past 20+ years. I've watched him play, he's top notch and a monster when it comes to stunting and general rush moves.

  4. It’s simple. Edge was a huge need for Texans. There was only one blue chip edge rusher in the class and Anderson is HIGHLY likely to be top edge in next years class as well. Remember the majority of people would’ve had him as the #1 overall pick in the 22’ draft as well. Texans overpaid but you simply have to do that sometimes.

  5. “I don’t love the trade. I just don’t.” Well boo hoo to you then. That’s why everyone is leaving the Cardinals and look what happened when they tampered with Jonathan Gannon.

  6. Chris Simms is the same guy who makes the crappy quarterback lists and was high on players like Kellen Mond for crying out loud. Just like you were.

  7. Who didn’t really like him? The sexiest of wins? What are you talking about? The important thing is getting to the quarterback regardless of how you get to the quarterback.

  8. Dude, what are you talking about? This is someone people were saying he’s the best defensive prospect and even the best prospect in the draft.

  9. You need to correct what Texans got. It’s not that he was with the Cardinals and then they traded for him. What they got was the third pick which then used on Will Anderson Jr. along with the 105th pick.

  10. Thanks for another excellent film study. I think that the price tag attached to this deal was entirely too high. True, Houston may be close personnel wise to being a contending team but that price was ridiculous. This is the type of deal that will either make Nick Caserio and Demeco Ryans look like the new cool kids on the block or get them fired down the line. It's a high risk, high reward decision that was made by Houstons' braintrust and as in most things in life only time will tell. It's funny, in the example on film of Anderson during the read option I was wondering what Utah State's coach Blake Anderson's and his QB were thinking running that play at that defensive front. On the example during the passing play he did get penetration against their LT and that was definately a pressure that obstructed the play but he didn't look special on tape. He looked good, not great.

  11. Can you make one for bj ojulari, cus Az drafted him with that 33rd pick and he was behind Anderson(#1) in pressures. Cus if he pans out and Paris Johnson aswell this was a steal for the cardinals.

  12. If you select WA at 2 the price at 3 would had been extreme. It was ideally a package deal, but they are going always link it to WA. Another team would had paid more to move up to 3 if stroud was still there. Only time can tell but I’m not a fan of waiting another year to MAYBE get a franchise QB. Go Houston 🫡🫡

  13. First of all, thank you for your video. I recently started getting into football, and your video has made it easier for me to understand the game and the players. I appreciate your assessment of Will Anderson, and even though I'm a big fan of his and believe he will have a successful career, I understand that everyone has their own opinions, and it's important to respect different perspectives.

To me, I think if we imagine Will being the second overall pick, and traded for the third overall pick (assuming the trade chips are the same) in order to select C.J. Stroud, would you still consider it a bad trade?

  14. As a cardinals fan I was genuinely so bummed that we passed up on Anderson but the trade is growing on me, if Paris can be a stud OT and we can hit on that Houston 1st rounder then it’s a W
