1. Hello, I b ought the alien week package with the talon and the wandering skin but it seems the skin does not work. I contacted tech support and they said the skin does not work, but on the website it went up for sale and they listed it as live. I understand some things you pledge for are not in the game but the skin is being sold and marketed in your actual promotion as a working in game item. It's a little upsetting for a new players first purchase to not work, and to get into your new ship and spend hours trying to figure out why you cant see out of your ship. i doubt anyone is reading this but tech sup didnt seem to care

3. You should make this lore actionable in the game: make people study the manuals and take complex exams at "embassies" for each race in the world. If you pass these exams, certain ship components (or even ships themselves) are unlocked. But make it DIFFICULT so that people actually take the lore seriously and adopt the roleplay that comes with it.

4. Just remember alien fans not to buy the BMM. CIG literally said they will do it last. Seeing as though they are most definitely going to release more ships during citizencon and during other events, doing the ship last quite literally means never. Don’t wast your money buying pictures and make CIG learn it’s not ok to exploit their players.

14. That goes to show how deep they've gone with making the languages for these races. I like how the color thing was brought up. Names for colors are social constructs, and have varied greatly throughout human history. Blue for example, wasn't considered it's own color for a very long time, many cultures considered it to be a shade of black. Some cultures today still do not have words for some colors (I think yellow or orange is one of them, or maybe it's green, I don't remember).

    Any news on restoring Ares Ion and Ares Inferno to usable status…?!

    I do NOT own any of these, but i cant buy useless ships!

    Right now, they arent even good for capital ship hunting, due to massive spread, making it impossible to target certain parts of the ship!

    And for the n00b Gladius/ Vanguard etc pilots who kept QQing they got taken out instantly by a size 7 cannons, you should know that:
    – the Ares brothers have very low maneuvrability…they move like snails
    – the Ares brothers have no beds
    – the Ares brothers have no cargo capacity of any kind, so you cant do any mission outside of pure combat
    – the Ares brothers have very low acceleration, so not much good for exploring either.
    – standing in front of the bussiness end of a size 7 SHOULD kill any lower tier ships INSTANTLY !
    – your ships (Gladius/ Vanguard etc) are much more maneuvrable than either of the Ares brothers
    – small ships should NOT be meta!

16. The cryptic writing stuff has a term, it's called negative space. Epic games used that alot for Gears of War and that allowed Karen Traviss to fill in alot of that negative space with her books.

17. 3.19.1 came out and only my arm armor appears in my inventory (including pledged gear which is just insulting thievery at this point).
    Server stability still questionable.
    Getting hard to back this game(if you can call it a game).
    Perpetuating fixable bugs to squeeze your backers for more money is gross.
    No I can’t even use the gear I pledged.

    Used to recommend this game, now I’m warning people against it. Real shame

19. Tinfoil hat time the. A precursor race engineered the Vanduul as their warrior species and the banu as their worker species. And after this civilization went away. for some reason, the two formed separate unique societies. explaining why the vanduul have such advanced technology without any apparent scientific development basis and the banu's short life spans and lack of records as an engineered worker species that is over concerned in peak productivity and less concerned with context is ideal As is the warrior species. of singular violent focus but lacking amongst itself, the ability to centralize command.

23. Yay! Progress! Now can we see some cultural diversity? I'm glad that we now have a female person on the narrative team, but writing narratively rich alien races with a culturally monolithic team has intrinsic limitations. I would love to see a cultural perspective that's something other than what white people think other cultures are like.
