In past years when I had a rose garden in my front yard, neighbors would comment that they always saw me doing yard work. I replied that it was yard fun, not yard work, and also psychotherapy, communing with nature after a work day with an impossible workload every day. "Communing with nature" is focusing on and experiencing nature on a spiritual level. It is good for mental health and the soul. The shelter rose garden is perfect for Papa Takis, the Dogfather, to spy on his teenagers and check for bullying. Also, rose gardens have been favored by humans for millenia to commune with nature. Well done, Takis and Team.

I am so glad you have your gardens. They are GORGEOUS!! When I had my own house l found gardening soooo therapeutic, l miss it so much.
I know l can never go to Greece, or adopt, but l try to help by telling everyone else about Taki's. I hope my fellow Canadians can adopt tho or help out. I know someone who travels to Greece. I hope she visited or donated.
So many fabulous characters and sweet personalities. I wish l could visit and hug every dog and every cat. I'm happy to sleep in the cats area, ha!ha!

To whoever adopts GRANDPA you are adopting a living legend, a celebrity dog, who brings clout to his adopt, he is the most chill dog, walks when he wants, eats, and mixes and mingles well with other dogs and people, he is looking for the right person/home to let him be the fur baby he always has been, he had a rough start but now he is the Key dog in the Takis Shelter. If you adopt him Mr. Takis will most likely, say dang I never saw this happening, and the feel glad Grandpa gets a home, plus you will send lots of pics. Who wants to step up and adopt a celebrity dog who deserves a home/pad/hang out place all his own. He would be a great addition to any home and quite the love bug……
