7. Bollox, install an extra window squirter thats got oil in it, squirt some, it goes on their windscreen, they try to use their wipers which just spreads it all over the screen and they have to stop cause they cant see.

I find that I get tailgated alot but I am on a highway …now I have slowed down and undoubtedly it does upset the tailgater but I find like you have mentioned that the faster I go they just want me to move faster …on a smaller road this is hard because it causes the driver behind the tailgater to also get annoyed. Is there something you can suggest for smaller roads. thansk so much

10. I just take my foot completely off the accelerator and flick on hazards. If they are especially cunty, like driving a BMW, I pick a place where they are unable to pass because of road furniture then very, very slowly progress to a point where I can pull over.

16. When I was 22 I slammed on brakes and totaled 2 vehicles. 1 was mine. Bc in my state the person who rear ends is automatically at fault. I drove home with a smashed in rear end. He had to be towed. His insurance bought me a new car too 0lus I got to keep my wrecked car and I used it as a beater. I didn't even give him a warning I was in a bad mood that day and he was doing it for purpose

17. I'm a uber driver, and most areas our legal system lowered their speed limits by 10 MPH from what they were 10 years ago. Is law enforcement padding their retirement funds? Now no one in denver even pays attention to speed limits any more do to being lowered which had the reverse effect. Speed limits that use to be 65 mph now dropped to 55 mph, and even when I'm going 75mph in a 55 zone people are still tailgating me???? Stupid people that always end up in accidents. And when I do this method of slowing down they get more pissed off and when they pass me on the right they ALL look at you pissed off for slowly slowing down, and some of the psychos even swerve at my car as they pass at 30 MPH above the speed limit all full of rage to threaten me.

I got this idea from a 70+ year old man who still drives and says this trick works for him every time:. if you have a tailgater, you slow down and the tailgater will still not pass, turn on your flashers. I've tried it, and it works. (Be sure that you're on a road where the tailgater can pass).

22. This is from four years ago lol but someone did the very same thing to me. Almost scared like tactic to get me to drive faster. I did the opposite of what you said not to and kept breaking so that person would (and they did), eventually risked their life to pass me on a one lane road that had horrible pot holes. But I remember when I first started driving I would push my review mirror down, if someone did this to me. Easing up on the gas makes total sense. I notice it helps especially when a person may not realize their tailgating and will eventually stop doing it.

27. Observation on tailgaters. I have known roosters and sometimes dogs who ONLY know attack mode. You have to stare them down and NEVER lose eye contact if you wanna be safe around them ! The only thing you can trust is the idea that they will do the WORST POSSIBLE act, EVERY TIME, if you allow them. This describes the majority of tailgaters !

28. Friend of mine told about Pennsylvania cops during time of 55 limit on interstate. He said one cop car would get in front, and another behind a WHOLE ROW of tailgating speeders. Front cop would motion for the whole row to pull over. Once all ten or twenty cars were off on the side, they would start filling out tickets for every driver !!

30. Just turning on your hazard lights on if you are in a one lane road. This creates other eyes to be attracted to you, which in turn attracts to there unsafe driving! You are being safety cautious by using your hazards as well!
