I should think discovering the death camps in Poland/Germany at the end of World War II was pretty significant. More people died in the holocaust than in all the other events put together and it wasn’t even mentioned! That’s media for you!

Over 20 years later and the vision of people jumping from those towers is still fresh in my mind…
hum… the death of Princess Diana hello? How is that not on this list.
The greatest problem with watchmojo is that when they are showcasing emotional scenes, they don't let those scenes speak for themselves
There's also Haiti earthquake in 2010 and Philippines super typhoon in 2013.
I remember where I was and how I felt during the events of 9/11. I was at school in the 4th grade and I felt like my usual self because my teacher didn’t tell us about the attacks and I didn’t find out until I got home as my biological mom had the news on. Even then I didn’t know when it all happened until years later.
Very US centric list again but good try though…..
ohhh if only they knew what would happen in 2020

I HOPE YOU GOT HURRICANE KATRINA AND BLM ON THIS LIST
Assassination of franz Ferdinand? Literally sparked ww1 and indirectly caused ww2
How fucking stupid for someone to record ambush plans on a hostage situation?
These moments are summed up in a song called Man In The Mirror by Michael Jackson.
