  1. Our main problem is not a climate change but our water management. Western civilization is a drainage civilization. We are draining our backyards, gardens, parks, fields, even natural wetlands… There are no places for water infiltration. Nature treats water differently. There must be some retention and infiltration. Because of this we are facing floods and drought freuquently.

  2. CLOSE THE BORDERS. How many times do we need to shout it. We don't want these people coming here, we don't want these new housing estates. All the warning signs are there, but the politicians only care about money. CLOSE THE BORDERS.

  3. First the news said Europe was gonna freeze to death because of a lack of Russian energy an that never happened now they have a drought crisis..just lies

  4. In the UK instead of the short-sighted approach of waiting for low reservoirs we should have permanent hosepipe bans. Nobody needs to water their lawn or wash a car that they probably shouldn't have anyway.

  5. NO, to cause a release they need to both damage the containment building and the reactor biological shielding, the reactors have been shut down for months, any decay heat will be minimal and the reactors can survive for many weeks uncooked,

  6. Animal Agriculture is responsible for 20%-33% of all fresh water consumption in the world today.

Growing feed crops for livestock consumes 56% of water in the US.

Californians use 1500 gallons of water per person per day. Close to Half is associated with meat and dairy products.

2,500 gallons of water are needed to produce 1 pound of beef.

477 gallons of water are required to produce 1lb. of eggs; almost 900 gallons of water are needed for 1lb. of cheese.

1,000 gallons of water are required to produce 1 gallon of milk.

5% of water consumed in the US is by private homes. 55% of water consumed in the US is for animal agriculture.

But keep eating your meat and dairy.

  7. why is anyone surprised? I mean water scarcity was predicted to be a major issue of the 21st century. About time we talked about it, but it's like for climate change, action only comes once we have our backs to the wall.

  8. Well build more reservoirs and water harvesting tanks. The last reservoir built in the UK was in the 70's but usage has increased due to massive migration.
