Therianthropy IS:
An involuntary identity where one identifies as an animal, on a non-physical level.
Identifying WITH an animal/being connected to an animal is known as animalhearted/otherhearted
Quadrobics is just a sport. Anyone can do it, therian or not.
Anyone can buy/make/wear gear. It isn't what makes you therian, just sometimes helps with keeping your identity private or with species dysphoria.
Some therians spiritually identify as animals. Some therians believe in past lives. But not all. Past lives only mean you're a therian if you STILL IDENTIFY as that animal from the past. Just having past lives doesn't make you a therian.
Therianthropy and the furry fandom are completely different and unrelated. Therianthropy is an identity. The furry fandom is a hobby.
Therians are aware they have human bodies and brain, this is a non-physical internal identity.
We do not think we can become animals. If someone DOES think that, it's unrelated to therianthropy and they should still be treated with compassion and respect.
People can have multiple therio/kintypes
Therio/kintypes can be extinct animals (paleotherians)
Therio/kintypes can my mythical or fictional (theriomythic, fictionkin, etc)
Not all therians experience shifts and shifts aren't exclusive to therians. There are also many different kinds of shifts, such as mental, aura, dream, phantom, etc

as a bunny therian, I appreciate the people that actually support us therians. it’s not cringe, why do people think it’s cringe? because we’re furries? there’s a huge difference. furries are cute anthropomorphic animal mascots. yet, therians are people that feel like animals in the inside, and it is not by choice unlike furries. quads are cringe? walking like an animal is cringe? okay. people just want to express their inner selves. if you don’t like it, ignore it
