A hair-raising video of a mountain climber from Colorado clinging on to a ledge while being hit by an avalanche is doing rounds on social media. Leland Nisky was alone, unroped, while he was ice climbing at the top of the ribbon when the avalanche hit. He vigorously axed the mountainside so that he could fix his position, controlled on his breathing and tucked his head down to breathe air bubble as the avalanche lasted for 2 minutes.
