2. What I don't understand is how so many people dive without putting their arms and hands before the head to prevent these injuries 🤔

3. I personally knew two people who made the fatal mistake of diving into shallow water. One in a pool and the other in the ocean. Both are paralyzed and unfortunately a split second decision changed their lives forever. I have mad respect for the water, especially the ocean and safety is paramount. I luckily didn't have my neck broken after a surfing accident. The lip of a rouge nine foot wave crashed down on top of my head. I instantly felt intense neck pain as I had to then hold my breath under the water. Holding my breath for a long time while being thrown around like in a washing machine. I ended up next to a rock wall and thankfully a local rescued me and performed CPR. I thought forsure my life was over and though this happened many year's ago it still gives me chills. I wish i could find my hero/guardian angel after all these year's. Happened in Puerto Escondido Mexico. Hopefully sooner than later i can make it to beautiful Australia for the surf and sand. Cheers to you guy's and gal's at Bondi Beach for springing into action. I'm sure both boys and their parent's especially are thankful for your care. Respect from 🇨🇦 x

Spinal injuries are one of the most painful things ever I’ve had one but the worst one in the fam has been my big brother he plays tackle football for Carlsbad highschool he was tackling Someone took a wrong turn the player ended up on his head slammed to the floor he didn’t get up we had to watch he get carried away on a spinal board me mom was crying I was crying it’s terrifying and hope other ppl don’t have to go through it and when I went through it that’s w time for another story
