People took shelter at O’Hare Airport as at least eight reported tornadoes slammed the area. And flooded areas of the Northeast are bracing for more rain while the West endures extreme heat.

  1. I was literally at the same airport before our flight took off I literally had taken a picture of the escalate with the color ceiling an hour before the tornado hit

  2. ABC. We do not need a Federal Heat Officer. Remember it is Summertime. Many of these places are in or near deserts. If I`m not mistaken, it gets Hot in the Desert.

  7. It's getting more and more impossible for even the nay-sayers to deny climate change. This is not going to get any better and this isn't just a "fluke" year. Climate IS changing and people need to wake tf up.

  10. White paint on asphalt shingles was recommended before WW2 but the industrial manufacturers stopped talking about it because the roofs lasted too long. Kind of like the planned obsolescence of light bulbs which burn out because the filaments are made to fail.

    In light of recent events, the nation may need a Chief Heat Officer. Heat is the number one cause of weather-related deaths.
