He was not lost he was in contact with family entire time, face time and watching weather on his phone ..He wasted every ones time and there rescuers drove him 1200 miles when they were out working for this guy to choose to be out there.. guy should be charged w animal abuse.. and no hurricane was in the area..

39. Has he explained why he could not make it by himself ? The mast is still up and the missing rudder could be replaced by a couple of planks. I am not sure why it took him so long on the leeway. He just had to go South-East. the domineering winds in Pacific are lowing towards East. He did not even need to tack once.
