D***, the sad thing is, as you talking monkeys of lost more knowledge than you'll ever gain again. You shouldn't build on the side of a mountain. Common sense dictates that murphy's law whatever can happen we'll happen
You have to have the IQ of a small soap dish to willingly live there. Honestly.
Modern marvels is one of the greatest series History ever did🙌
ouch
The engineer talking about the airport collapse used the term 'massive temperature change'. 40 degrees isn't that uncommon in the Midwest US. For that matter, I only lived in St. Louis for less than a year and saw a 50 degree swing from 2PM one day to 7AM the next. So, they didn't foresee a 40 degree swing when engineering it?
off topic: i like the sound of French sirens
Coming back from a high school basketball game, our bus was part of a major traffic backup on the I-75 Rouge River bridge. I want to say that's some 150-170 feet high so you can only imagine the screaming a bunch of these kids did. "The bridge is gonna fall and we're going to die" was the overall conclusion they came to. I reasured them the bridge was not going to fall, convincing myself also, but added "aren't you glad someone was paying attention in bridge building class. See, that little portion of the science fair last week has real life benefits."
Down the line we must continue to produce engineers, doctors, agriculturalists and the such, not just dunk contest winners and three-point artist. Nothing's wrong with that form of talent but one trip down court or a bit of mis-fortune in life in general and those playing days can immediately become a thing of the past. Even after a successful career, no matter the length, you then must continue being a boon to society and humanity.
The game of education is one WE must not lose.🧬
i searched on YT Dubai international airport September 28, 2004, terminal 3 collapse and nothing. same search on google results in articles. YT link anyone?
need to put all the engineering disasters together in one place.
Well morning comes every morning. You can't plunge into it. And I have no clue who Rodney is. have been that great.
I used to watch the Edmund Fitzgerald "sail" up and down the Saginaw river. and it went down in a nor'easter type storm in November up in Lake Superior. 29 men died that night. I don't know why a crew would even sail in a storm like that. a day of waiting would have saved countless lives. I am sure no sailor has ever signed on to a ship thinking, "boy, if we leave tonight we can save 12 hours of time. who cares if I die!". how many hours is 20-40 men's lives worth? and how many hours are those dead me going to produce for you from their grave?
That Disney concert hall is a eyesore shiny or sanded.
i thought construction engineers were trained to spot these problems before they occur so that you can avoid this mess. in 1930 400.000
people were flying commercial planes i prefer not to fly and i have no idea why so many people do fly and yet they say that air traffic
will increase for the 30 years that's a whole lot of to fro about the earth
Idk, how that person shakes his head no when he says "it'll be way better" about rebuilding the hill. Oye not convinced
I'm thinking that French architect should probably find a new career
Let me guess they rebuilt houses on the same area after all of this
California deserves all the worst things to happen to it. 😂
And I thought there was only one way to pronounce Fokker
I would imagine the families prefer this pronunciation though
how is washable wool made?
California people are definitely from another planet. Oh hey let's build a house on a side of a cliff.
Sinkholes are fascinating.
WTF with all the crickets! Is that cricketman?
California will never learn about the dangers and the fires with man-made cities neighborhoods are built it's still happening in California learn from the mistakes.its 2023 Phoenix Arizona is man-made, you're going to run out of water in the desert like Scottsdale Arizona they don't have no water. I wouldn't trust no engineers look what happened. Because it was man-made the engineers are responsible for this.
And no one thought to just build it pointing a tad bit north?
That's why I like Solid Ground
2:12, wow, they stf don't make em like they used to, right?
What goes up…….
must come down
It will be worse than before. Just watch
Experts said, We were surprised as well
I looked forward to this series. Was a time when watching television wasn't always time squandered!
I guess god knew they were gonna vote for tramp. too bad al OC didn't slide into the sea. yeah!
Here we go giving these Architects big words to inflate their brain "Superstar" "WORL RENOWNED" they feel so big and mighty their brains explode with big disastrous F-UPS they know no one is going to stop them because they believe no one knows better than they do
Well this French dude architect Paul Andrew slit like butter with his wrong doings for the most part is because they know people who knows people and no matter how bad of a job and devastated lives are left behind they keep getting the contracts, word "Architects" means nothing if the job is sloppy and this man got away with it
I really do not feel sorry for Rich Almighty people that want to live smack in front of a large body of water or high up in the hills devastating the area thinking that nothing's going to happen Underground, the most ridiculous thing is that after they end up going right back to the same area and just like this document is mentioning I really don't care of their lost they have the money and they just keep doing it over and over again even if a monsoon takes them away
Ole double chin dude got his money now playing stupid.
Sounds so much like clinton-esque b***** to me someone got paid and people died
