I stopped like this today and failed 🥺😭😭 they said because I didn’t stop immediately
my instructor told me not to put the clutch down. Is this incorrect?
Do you do the blind spot checks after stopping AND before moving off?
Do you apply neutral or park when doing the manoeuvre to secure the car? Also I've been told you don't have to apply the hand break or put it in neutral when doing it and to just stop then do mirror checks and move on. Is this ok?
What's the goal of checking the blind spot and looking around why you don't just check on mirror's
Thank you Chris, sooo helpfuuuuul. You’re fabulous. Xxxx
Is it ok if you put the clutch down before the break?
Thx for makeing this.
What happens if someone pulls up or comes up behind you after you have stopped, should you indicate or wait to see what they do?
Shouldn’t you press the Clutch then Brake quickly…… Any Advice how to make it smooth especially with passenger
I had a really nice drive today but failed due to this 😭
This is so far the best video instruct about the car emergency brake I have found online .. big thanks
Thank u
Very simple and helpful
Super helpful videos better than most driving instructors
Thanks for sharing.
Hazard lights
thank you so much for your helpful videos
I am doing Part 2 ADI test soon
In an emergency stop do we need to check all around ( blind spots) after stopping ?
automatic driver here
so if asked to do this, should you also put the handbrake and shift the gear to park immediately?
You will always remember your first proper emergency stop and thank the person who taught you how to do it.
Why you use clutch whilst emergency stop totally different to a motorcycle you just pull the brakes and if you stall it's not a problem and you won't fail as long as you have come to a stop
Very precise. Thank you
I’ve got an extended test Tuesday. Been driving 15 years and got my test all over again !! Unbelievable
thanks a lot
Is it possible to break to harshly?
What if a car comes out of a side turning just after the stop? Right signal before moving off???
Thank you so much for all your videos, you helped me pass today (first attempt) with one minor fault. Thank you!!!!
Thanks.
"it's totally painless"….my neck clicked and it really hurt bcoz I have upper back issues.i really never want to do the emergency stop again. It's how people get whiplash . I just hope I won't have it on my test .
What faults are there in emergency stop
So you don't do hazard lights immediately after?
Emergency stop during pragnancy will the examiner ask
I took my test today and passed, I was asked to do an emergency stop (which I had only practised this morning) it wasn’t good enough, and the examiner asked me to have another try! Quite unusual?
Hi I have test in two days. Could you please answer this ? I get confused with speed limits on road where there’s no sign. How to figure out what’s the speed ? Also after 40 speed road how to know it’s no more 40 now.
Do we need to check mirrors before stopping ? A friend of me says we should whereas I hold different opinion. Emergency means emergency so no mirrors ?
really helpful. thank you so much!
I just preformed one of these today, wasn't a test tho, kinda spooky
Do I have to check mirrors after the examiner says “stop!”, before breaking? If yes, which in particular?
lol you forgot the clutch
Hi Chris, I am from India 🇮🇳 we do have a similar traffic rules as UK 🇬🇧 here been watching your videos which are soo informative. Have learnt so much from you. Thanks for these helpful gems and driving lessons. Instructors here don't explain as good as you.
God bless you!
I think it helped me to ( it’s gonna sound weird ) rely on your instinct, obviously practice is important but you’ll waste time thinking brake clutch brake
It almost feels like pressing both at the same time
So to do an emergency stop, I have to quickly press on the brake fully and firmly and then clutch AFTER, am I right? Can you please let me know if I got this right? Thank you!
Many thanks, as it was helpful,
