  1. Why don’t their owners put down the severely injured horses? Awful to let them suffer. And why don’t they make big lick illegal? So stupid.

  2. It MIGHT be GOOD to put him some sun for a couple of hours! It SHOULDN'T be still smelling Rank still w all the treatments! Why don't you put him out for a while andvthen bathe him….Jyst a suggestion!

  3. Well done on the rescues this time guys…. They will be so much happier with the rehab you will give them – even the last act of kindness they will appreciate greatly.
Tawnee – on giving minis needles and they can go through the neck – lol – reminds me of school – we were vaccinating sheep against Enterotoxaemia (Pulpy Kidney), and well, the Ag Teacher didnt get his darn finger out of the road did he and the needle went through the sheeps skin, then out the other side (not planned) and into his finger (Again – not planned)… Don't really know how it affected him but he did walk around and occasionally 'Baaaaaaaa'd at a couple of us who thought it was hillarious.

  4. Lately I've been seeing horses on YouTube that say auction. Shouldn't they have to pay for an ad? I get upset because sometimes it looks like gaited horses. Not the natural kind. I watch and like all your videos. I've been in severe chronic pain for a few years now. It's been really hard….I appreciate your compassion. I rode horses for a lot of my life. I wish I could visit you. Blessings from Texas

  5. Excellent choice in trucks. Happy to have been a small part of helping you with expenses. Love ❤your commitment to animals. God bless 😊

  6. It infuriates me how callous people can be. To A, tie a horse to a tree with a 6 or 8’ lead rope and B, tie it out with NO WATER!!! She should be Prosecuted! The Biglick horse was just heartbreaking. I can’t even imagine doing something to a living animal that you KNOW is destroying them. I love my animals, ALL of them, cats, dogs, chickens, horses I love them all and do my very best to provide them with the best life possible. Lastly, HOW can you have bone thin horses here in the south? Heck we have been having to mow twice a week for months.. we have already baled hay three times this season with at least one more to go.. if all you have is a dirt lot and can’t afford grain and hay then REHOME them!!

  7. I am still hoping you get a ramp. It would be so useful when loading & unloading horses that are need assistance getting in and out of trailers. I cringe every time I see them trip or struggle. A ramp can't be more expensive than that truck.

  8. Ive been told they dock the tails so they don't grow long enough to get caught up in anything, but that goes hand in hand with what you said, but there's additional info lol. Even though it could be as easy as tying the tail up or even cutting the tail hair shorter.

  9. Poor horse that was tied without water and foundered. Id be angry too… horrible cruelty… thank you for getting the horse to the shelter… it’s so heartbreaking to see so many horses in such poor shape. The abuse of big lick is horrific… so sad… thank you so much keith for driving that hurt but beautiful soul to the vet by himself…

  10. It was that nameless black TWH stallion that had to be put down to end his misery caused by Big Lick trainers that finally drove me to become a monthly subscriber. If even $10 a month can help keep y'all rescuing and fighting against animal cruelty in Tennessee, to end the gross tradition of Big Lick it's more than worth it. I wish I could give more, we all do, but a little sacrifice is worth it. Thank you HPHS for all you do, for all those left working hard to cover the personnel shortage. Thank you.

  11. I have seen a couple of videos of people showing off their big lick horses. I always report them for animal cruelty. And what about the AMISH. What is their excuse?

  12. My first job was a stable hand at a resort. My mother was working as a maid and I visited the stables and the horses were standing in manure and urine up to their knees. I was 16 years old and I was in the middle of telling the stable manager off about the condition of the stables. The assistant general manager walked up behind us and asked me if I wanted to work for him to get the stable up to par. He actually paid me out of his pocket because I was too young to work in the stables. It took me a couple of weeks, but I had the stable immaculate.
I'm 70 years old now so I don't work as hard as I did then.

  13. Hey Tweene that's definitely sad. This poor horse. It really broke my heart. And make me sick. I hope the vet helps him too. Or put him down. And he won't be suffering anymore. Hey guys you guys did so awesome rescuing 20 horses. With All my 💕🥰❤️🤗❤️💖 to all. ❤❤❤❤❤❤.

  14. I don't live in Tennessee but I have a horsw and I take care of other horses for people. I love cleaning stalls you don't have to think about anything, you can just let your mind wander while you are cleaning 💕🐎

  15. God bless you for the horses and mules you picked up tonight. How can anybody send any of these horses to slaughter why not just euthanize them at home give him the last act of kindness at home to see these animals and to know the ones that shift breaks my heart God will get people for this 💔💔😢

  16. It's really good to hear you're doing all you can at the auction without a vet, good job putting your own safety first! If you're hurt you it won't help anyone

  17. Poor big lick horse (and the other horses), i hate big lick so much. I love the drafthorses so much, so big but so gentle and sweet!! I also watch fletcherfarm Ammerillo, they only save drafts from slaugther and give them all the care they need. Love your great work from the Netherlands.💓

  18. Your videos are so educational, and shocking. I have learned so much about horses that I never knew. Particularly how much they are abused. I was in disbelief during the first two videos I watched. Who lets their horses decline into these conditions? Apparently, many many more people than I ever would have thought. Very sad, and God bless you guys for your work helping them. I am so sorry for the "last act of kindness" action you had to perform for the poor mule (and all the others). Where is the concept of responsible horse ownership? Is it no longer taught?

  19. While you’re holding the pony why don’t you try giving her some licks to snack on while she’s getting her feet done. That tends to work with a lot of horses!

  20. Thank you for helping that tortured big lick horse. If the big lick people had to endure what their horses have to, the big lick would be gone overnight.

  21. Tawnee, thank you for your continued support for these horses. You are a very strong woman…and I know that much of these cases make it hard on the heart❤ but you rally onward. I hope that we will meet someday. Much love , Robin❤

  22. Seeing Elijah and Garrick in an episode is always a pleasure! But ah, that poor Big Lick stallion. Such a gorgeous, gentle creature…I am glad HP got him and he was given lots of love, pain meds and treats before crossing the Rainbow Bridge. Wonderful to see the new truck as well, GO TEAM! And my heart always SOARS when they are released to pasture after intake. You can SEE them GLOW UP almost instantly, the RELIEF and JOY is that obvious.
