Korhogo, C么te d’Ivoire – From the very northwestern corner of C么te d’Ivoire, we鈥檙e continuing our journey through the country in Korhogo, known for its unique food and especially high quality meat. Today we鈥檝e been invited to a local home to cook some of the local Senufo tribe food and eat some of the best grilled mutton you鈥檒l ever have.
Senufo tribe – Mo and I headed to a local home to cook a few different dishes including Joro, which is a unique green sauce made from pounded peanuts and bean vine leaves. It was definitely green tasting and quite a healthy dish. We also had another few dishes including bambara groundnuts which were some of the best beans I鈥檝e ever had.
Choukouya – One of the greatest of all West African street foods is grilled meat and I鈥檓 talking about choukouya, this one made with grilled mutton. Korhogo, C么te d’Ivoire is known throughout the country for raising some of the best quality and tasting meat, and I can assure you of this. They had a huge logfire going and they were roasting fresh mutton over the fire. When you order, they slice all the meat off the bone, and serve it with onions, fresh chilies, and kankankan seasoning.
Boloye Dance of the Panther – Finally we went to see one of the original Black Panther dances. It was one of the most fascinating displays of acrobatics, and chanting songs I鈥檝e ever heard!
Another absolutely incredible day in C么te d’Ivoire! A huge thank you to my friend Mo Soumahoro from Belle Co虃te d鈥橧voire (https://www.instagram.com/bellecotedivoire/) for arranging my trip and setting up everything.

I remember once this all started when you were apart of the 30.000 first subscribers and Mark stood there with his long hair and tried different local foods in Thaliand! Still to this day you are my favourite youtuber and the yum face is the same as it was back then! Love your content dude and never change! Love from Sweden <3
Mark, you sound like you're under the weather…hope you feel better…

Nasty 馃あ 馃ぎ I threw up watching this so nasty
Go to Benin republic
Your lucky they didn鈥檛 cook and eat you Mark 馃槀 you be eating some weird foods but I guess that鈥檚 what Asian people do.
Mark is so gracious and follows the customary etiquette, I'd have no problem eating with my hand, but not other hands in my plate, Mark flows easily with the tradition of the country he is eating in. BRAVO. So beautiful all the kids dancing and excellent gymnastics too.
This was indeed an awesome experience Mark.
Eating fro one pot is Arabian culture and tribal culture is not hygienic at all. Germs or viruses can be transferred from one to another person. India and Bangladesh don't do. many families still practice that each member of family his own plate and glass, even the poor people
As always I enjoy your videos. So many love you. Came across another foodie named Ericsurf6 who happened to mention you. He鈥檚 in hopes to meet you one day. Maybe next time you鈥檙e in Japan. You are loved by many.鈾ワ笍
lucky mark to have shared this food with the locals…more videos…more more…
Mark's voice sounds different in this video.
Mark and family…I'd love to see you back in America (again) but with some of the Native American tribes. I have a friend out West that is Blackfoot. I've heard stories from him which were fascinating. I would love to see from the whole perspective. All perspectives and what not. My Great Grandmother was Cherokee but not much was passed down. Bless you and your family!
Mark Wiens is a legend of this content.
They are eating Family style, which indicates how comfortable the ladies are with Mark. He is welcome wherever he goes and is seen as a visitor, not a tourist!
I will be forever grateful to you, you change my whole life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, think you Mrs Alina
Awesome!
I was shocked to see the other guy eating with a fork
Merci beaucoup
I'm sorry but everybody eating from the same bowl or plate & handling the food that u have to eat is kind of a turn off for me plus it's not a healthy way to eat just in case other people hands aren't as clean.
Oh Gwao
Proper black magic type jiggaloo dancing.
Absolutely live the Senufo ladies' dresses. Beautiful. The dishes look great and it was interesting to learn how certain dishes only go with certain starches. Thank you, Mark!
So wonderfull to seen.
Happy travel bro
