  1. First off, shout out to both fighters, they put it on the line in the ring in a style match up that challenges them both to stick to a disciplined execution of their game plan! 1-1 and definitely waiting for the tie breaker.
Khi listened to his trainer this time and circled Ogun to his left which he doesn't like to do. When Khi circled to Ogun's right it was into Ogun's power and unnecessarily put him in jeopardy of the rear hook and uppercut. Khi also stayed level headed even after getting caught with shots or bullied around the wall with arm framing attempts and initial pressure each and every round. In the future I would like to see him jab out of more exchanges, never take more than 2 steps backward before a pivot or side step and develop a serviceable lead uppercut or a check hook for when Ogunquit dips his head to come in with the high guard without a setup.
Ogun favors the looping hooks and wound up telegraphed power shots and it works for him often enough but I would like to see him incorporate a setup jab more often, improve his head movement with a slip-roll-roll mix and develop exterior footwork to turn to his right, interior footwork (a skip step or switch step) to keep the pressure on Khi or any other fighter with a reach advantage for that matter. Too many times he let Khi step around or out uncontested without knowing how to cut him off without framing him up with his arms while partially off balance making it hard to land cleans shots after all that energy expenditure. The athleticism and explosiveness is there for damn sure, just needs to shore up a few things to be more of a complete package.
Lastly, big props to both cats for lacing up the gloves, entering the ring and contesting for the W. They both looked like improved versions of themselves and I hope that trend continues.

  2. Malik SERIOUSLY needs to work on his combinations. H needs to know his body and stop relying on the fact that he's so strong because any decently technical fighter that isn't afraid of his cinderblock hands is going to take his wins everytime.
Khi did a great job in technical outpacing Malik, but honestly someone get that boy on a speedbag and multiple(2 to 3 trainers at a time) aggressive pad work. If his speed was as formidable as his composure and his jab setups, this fight would have been done in round 2-3.
Great work for the both of them. Hopefully they begin picking consistent training regimes that picks up their natural flaws and potentiates their strengths.
    Good work gentleman.

  3. Malik has to figure out how to attack Khi, or any opponent with a big reach advantage, with a couple of different approaches. Malik's haymaker syarted every attempt and Khi was great at dodging the same swing all thru the 5 rounds. There were a few power hits to Khi's face/body, but, Malik would step back and he allowed Khi to recover each time. It's tough to watch a fighter spend 5 rounds chasing and throwing huge power packed swings and coming short of contact time after time. You could see the energy drain from Malik's body as he continued to pursue Khi. Khi was boxing with a game plan, he doesn't have Malik's power, but he didn't need to. He fought a smarter fight.

  4. If king khi works on his power he would be the best fighter in the yard by far. He can take a punch and shake a punch and he stays ice cold the whole time. Incredible skill for an amateur

  5. I’m new to this channel. Is the outcome determined by the crowd? If so, that’s the dumbest sh?t ever. Malik was the aggressor and landed more shots. Chico didn’t do anything but jab.

  6. great ring control from king khi well deserved win. if malik dont figure out how to get in the rematch is gonna be a repeat of this. i wanna see a real close one for the trilogy!

  7. King Khi chewed at Malik fit three straight rounds. He’s such a beauty to watch. I’ll like to see him start working on the body, he’s a headhunter. Especially for the powerful guys, destroying the body will gas them faster
