Tony Jeffries shares how to see punches coming in a street fight for beginners. You will also learn here how to defend and throw counter punches. In a streetfight, you will never know what will happen so it is very important to know or see when the other guy is throwing his punches.

This is a very good YT channel Thanks Tony.
Now I can use this against my grandma
That’s dumb you don’t look in their eyes because their eyes aren’t going to throw a punch at you
The reason I want to learn about guards, knowing full well that to avoid fighting altogether is better than fighting is because sometimes circumstances doesn't care if you prefer to not fight. Better be ready.
Like Mike Tyson said, look at their hands. Their hands are what hits you, not their faces. Shadow boxing (in front of a mirror, particularly, in this case) helps to visualize your opponents and getting used to seeing fast paced punches.
Muhammad Ali taught me to look at their body language as well. Bodies telegraph moves. Prime Muhammad Ali was like an input reading computer in fighting games, moving well before the punches were even thrown. It helps that he was super fast tho.
Great content, better than a lot of others👍🏽👍🏽
During a fight we used to forget all this tips 😂 and rushes as wildly we can
I always tell the younger guys I met either at work or just in life in general a couple of things they need in life, number 1 (some people will disagree with and that's 100% okay) Find God, can not over state how much better and happy I am after I found that peace, number 2 Train weather that be weights, combat sports or what i prefer obviously boxing, number 3 a partner, not a one night stand not a booty call but i true life partner and dont settle. Between the peace of mind or spirit, confidence in defending yourself and your family and the security of a peaceful home life everything will fall into place and even the hard days aren't that hard anymore.
Appreciate the content brother, top 3 favorite content creators

Great video! Love your posts, coach.
I love your channel Tony, it just gave a solid boost in my confidence
Im in yaw yan and this is good tips thnx
All good advice. Coming from someone who can do it much better than probably 99% of people. But it’s heavily biased because of that.
Every person will address threats with what their background has taught them. Sambo, for example, bases almost all of its sd from the assumption of a grab by the opponent. A hair or collar grab with the left hand, followed by hard right punches happens a lot. I’d like to see you do a video on how to deal with that scenario. Assume a taller opponent with a longer reach grabs your collar. What next?
thx Tony,.. i do apreciate..
I'm not skilled so I'll be fighting dirty. Going for your eyes your genitals. Biting etc.
You forgot to mention tuck your chin and keep your hands up or hands in a defensive position before leaning back. Most guys that throw windmill punches will step in and swing wildly. Remember, these people are not usually trained fighters.
❤❤THANKYOU TONNY I'M LEARNING ALOT FROM YOU ❤❤
Haha, a cocked shoulder…
duck da pride flag, nah
How do you fight a psycho "Karen" chick who is trying to physically attack you?
Wow!!! The drill with the tennis ball is absolutely brilliant to avoid punches to the head. Having had martial arts, and boxing training, that drill is a very innovative, and refreshing tool tgat can be utilzed almost anywhere. Maybe even during someone's racketball game. Lol. Seriously, thank you, Tony, my namesake, for shariing your wisdom. Check it Outl Ciao!!!
Does the reflex ball a good way to burn calories
tony,
i have gone to many of your classes. i just want to tell you that everyone is doing a great job, representing you and your gyms.
deontre (not sure of the spelling of his name?) and everyone else is giving their one hundred percent in their classes. Either if they are in the boxing ring as a one on one class or a group class are doing an incredible job. each trainer makes sure they are communicating what they want and they explain what they want.
No one gets angry and they explain what they want. It is a real pleasure going to your gym and everyone is excited to be there.
This is coming from a happy boxer who enjoys the class.
The people with Parkinsons disease is treated with respect and we are happy in each class.
If people need a rest, they are encouraged to take a rest and they are always have plenty of fresh water from the dispenser in the gym.
They all take pride in their job that are doing and it reflects in the great atmosphere in the gym.
i hope that this e mail makes sense and everyone is putting in a great effort in to make each class a great workout and a pleasure.
i hope that you and your family is having a great time, and i will see you; when i see you!!!
Thanks for Everything,
Your Buddy,
Kenny Elster
If you show that "i don't want to fight" in Albania that is bad because you show you are weak and the other guy gonna punch you directly in the face.I don't know how things work in yours countries but don't show weakness in a fight don't start bad guys
If you are within your opponent arms reach, you can never see it coming if it's a straight punch. That's why you keep your distance and your hands up.
I have heard a good tactic if you have a back to the wall is to lure them toward you and when they get close you hit them in the stomach and side step out of the way. If they were not expecting it then they should be winded and headbutting the wall
I like to do this thing that ive never seen anyone else doing tbh, where I jab at the head when i get a easy opening then jab at the stomache and i do it a few times to test reaction speed and if my odds are high enough in my eyes ill trick jab to the head and then do a bit stronger to thr gut and then just do that until they catch on and then trick head jab trick stomache jab and then hook and then a head jab
Just remember that as soon as you incapacitate your opponent – get away as soon as you can. Get out of there. Otherwise, you'll have to deal with his friends or weapons, or general escalation.
The little guy never wins in a street fight?Boxing does look fun, well fun until you get knocked out I guess.lol😂
its quite complex and as an amateur fighter I find those tips helpful in actual reallife scenarios
