What started as a group of young adults causing a disturbance in an Emeryville store late Sunday afternoon turned into what police called “civil unrest,” during which one person was stabbed and gunshots were reported. Alyssa Goard reports.

This story has it all wrong… here’s the story I was there
The AMC was selling movie tickets for $4 a pop. This caused many Oakland students to gather there. Due to the tension between students in ousd (I am an ousd student myself) unrelated fights broke out. The gunshots were gang related according to an eighth grader at Claremont Middle School.
So sad
Omg we were literally there and left from our movie just before this happened.
These comments blaming black kids who come from families who were slaughtered by white mobs consistently for hundreds of years, and not just with laws. WE'RE TALKING real heathens just yelling rape to kill innocent people. No one in these comments have any words for racist mobs raiding black neighborhoods for centuries causing chaos. These poor children are literally using that energy on the wrong people, one another.
