The Australian fires breaks my heart every time i hear/see it… all those innocent animals died the worst death possible. How the f@ck can it be prevented? Fires like that will only get worse as we continue to screw up the planet… hopeless
Wow that event in Rio was absolutely devastating.
My cousin lived in the British Virgin Islands during Irma. It was terrifying. They stayed with friends on higher ground.
When I'm thinnking about natural desasters i directly have end of 2004 in my head with the catastrophe happened in south east asia. I was 13 years old and it hitted me so hard because I never thought so many people will lost their lives in just a few days. Since I have vietmamese roots I felt so bad about that, I mean over 200000 people were killed. But it's always hard to see that. And it's still hard to see people in Turkey/Syria and also Australia still suffering from the after-effects.
Thank you for covering the Petrópolis disaster, more people should know about it. A friend of mine has lost his wife and both kids (one was a baby), as well as his house, as the landslide swept everything down. The government's response and aid was just terrible and so delayed, which added up to so many people losing everything. It's just horrible.
Sad😢
Call me crazy, tinfoil hat , blah blah blah, i still think SOME (not all) of these weather disasters are man controlled and purposely targeted
I'm convinced I have some form of PTSD from the summer of 2019-2020… I didn't see the flames, but there were two days where embers were raining down over our house. When the wind changed and suddenly dry dead branches from a very dead tree in the bush behind our house started hitting our house and I had a panic attack. On the worst day, I spent the day in bed at a motel (at the time my work) trying to avoid life because my husband was home preparing to fight if required… as our house backs on some very dry bush, a lit ember would be enough to light it up. It was terrifying. I was happy the last few cooler, wetter, summers… but now we're in an El Nino. Eek.
Never underestimate nature. The severity and scale of the destruction is impossible to imagine.

talk about the real reason australia has wildfires so often. It's not just because it's dry, it's because the trees make a flammable oil meant to catch on fire easily, because wildfires are needed as a regular occurence in the ecosystem.
I remember being young in the 2019 bushfire, (i live in NSW) the sky went from blue, to orange and then red. We had to wear masks because the air was so thick and ashy and the clouds were replaced by fumes of black smoke, we all thought the world was going to end and we’d all loose our homes. It was incredibly scary and I was barely affected compared to those who lost their homes, pets, family members lives, not to mention the amount of animals that were killed. Then Covid hit and the world seemed to end for everyone else too. To the lives who were lost, including the wildlife, we will not forget.
I really enjoyed your video – very informative, with excellent real photo's and video footage. Perhaps you could make a video about Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda which destroyed Tacloban in the Phillipines in 2016? I believe it was the strongest typhoon to ever hit land and the storm surge reached 6m in height. It wasn't the amount of money the storm cost the Phillipines but the death toll and suffering it caused both during the event and after which made it so bad.
“When wildfires start they spread like wildfire” 💯💯
Ffs learn to pronounce QUEENS LAND.
I live in Victoria, Australia. I will never forget the black summer. I was so terrified that is would spread to our state.
Small point, but the capital of Brazil is Brasilia, not Rio.
The fires australia had was just as bad as the floods they had after. Mother nature needs to be respected mate.

How Erdoğan was re-elected after the disastrous earthquake still baffles me!!! How TF was he elected again when he did absolutely NOTHING after the entire earthquake hit???? Erdoğan should have been removed from office as the ONLY people that we’re helping Turkish people were OTHER Turkish residents and while helmets, the Red Cross and other organizations that came in to HELP anyone that needed it. I am more likely to believe that the election was RIGGED as Erdoğan did NOTHING as people were stranded, freezing and using nothing but their hands and small tools that they already had to rescue as many as their neighbors, family and communities all across Turkey. Shame on Erdoğan in which he DID nothing for weeks!!!! That MF isn’t fit to be president of the animal welfare organization pf Turkey yet alone president. Shameful.
That quake is definitely so heart wrenching. 🥺💔
Yeah “natural”
I hadn’t heard of the earthquake in Turkey, thank you for a very informative video.
I have lived in Florida for 21 years! I’ve been threw many hurricanes. But Irma that hurricane had me sitting in the hallway of my home crying. It broke big trees on my property. One almost took out my garage. Irma caused most everyone on my road no elec for 7 days after it came threw. We were begging for it to stop. Our trees were bending over the wind had the windows shaking. Tornado warnings every 30 min. ( why we were in hallway with mattress under and over us. Nowhere else safe to go!) the eye was headed for my area but at the last minuet and I mean minuet it turned just enough where the eye went above us. Every road was under water. We couldn’t leave the house for days. All the rivers flooded. Had to park my car 5 roads away. Ended up walking to store with a raft the next few days. I pray we never get hit like that again from such a powerful hurricane every hurricane season since. I think I’m ready to get out of Florida. They are getting stronger and stronger every year. 😭 ❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️
Great video!! Not what happened to everyone!! You're coverage of it!!
Turkey earthquake: all of the buildings that collapsed were ones that were NOT up to code! Apparently, the housing code people can be quite corrupt. Also, the fault line unzipped to the point that the ground slipped 9 feet! There's a sattelite pic that shows how a road that crossed the fault line no longer connects!
The Australia fires were so much worse than what Canada's experiencing now, but I have to wonder how many cigs of ash I breathed when we had to evacuate twice and the fires came within 6 kms of town…
