I spent a lot of time in a hackerspace during my university time. I loved that place! I learned so much there, the atmosphere is so nice and I made a lot of valuable connections there.
Check if you have a hackerspace near you: http://hackerspaces.org/

Hey, so, unfortunately the wiki is under heavy load right now 🙁 we're working on it, but did not plan to have such high volume of traffic! Thanks to the host for mentioning it. Please, check up on the wiki in a couple of days (and not all at once! 😊)
Awesome:) Thank you!
Unfortunately for me, there are no "alive" hackerspaces in my region(the closest one is 7-8 hours away and there are only 2 "alive" in the entire country) so… My question is, how do I open a hackerspace? Where do I start?
the guy with the blue shirt drinks Dr Pepper
If you ever drive through Brno in the Czech Republic, stop by the Base48 hackerspace. Every Friday night is a barbecue
God I wish there was something like the shack space near me.
I’ve never been to one. I saw one in the US where I worked for a bit and I was amazed! If was even better equipped than my college in the early 90s and we had no complaints!
I guess the precursor was the Hobby Computer Club in the 80s. That’s where I learned a lot and copied a hell of a lot more 🙂
The tips on how to behave in hackerspaces actually apply to job offices as well. My offices actually resemble a hackerspace a lot with all that electronic trash… And if you think about it for a moment, one would be extremely lucky to be working in a company that looks and feels like a hackerspace and also pays people well.
ok but is there ones that look like watch dogs 2 hackerspace tho
Thank you this video inspired me a year ago to go to the local ccc hackerspace but corona hittet in quite fast.
3:05 so he noticed the club mate but didnt notice the big ccc flag on the left? Lol
<3
Sadly the next hackerspaces are in Ulm, Augsburg or Munich, too far away 🙁
Brother, why are you so genius?
Sounds nice. If only 2020 didn't happen…
I think your hackerspace advice is helpful for socializing in general as well.
Why do u look like Michael Cera😂😂
everywhere, except where I live.
Dammit, the nearest to me is at 100kms…
hu3ckaspace no brasil
I went to the shack hacker space about 5 years ago and it was insanely cool.
pfff…$5 for a bottle from a “German” drink like ClubMatte is just insane considering it’s Yerba Mate and you can get it from any Latin store (since it comes from South America) without the preservatives and commercial hype that club matte has.
My makerspace is $176 a month, which is a bit pricey for me right now. However, I would love to work on some projects that require specialty equipment to work on!
Hi! Thanks for the video, it was nice to learn about hackerspaces around the world!
I would also like to know, what is required to create one? Maybe you could give some recommendations?
Thank you in advance!
Hey guys, hello from France, we are the L@bx (the french hackerspace at 3:55)
First of all, we love your content ! Second of all, what are the chances ?!
Actually, someone came to our discord to join to our next meet up, sooo thanks you haha.
There even a hackerspace randomly in the ocean😂 3:50
Hello from metalab 😉
None in my area, sad 🙁
I'm still visiting BrmLab in Prague. It's awesome, we got stuff like electron microscope, 3D printers, CNC mills and lots of other stuff. I mostly attend to LAN parties there, which are absolutely amazing, just standing there watching 12 people play on games on one desk.. Love these spaces and I wish there is at least one in every major city for everyone 🙂 Great work
I live in South Africa, and would love to start one, but where to begin? I don't have the knowledge myself, and dont know of a lot of people who do
duuude we losing our access to international internet through government decide, hackerspaces look like a dream to us, im from IRAN
Yo, I am Indian but seeing how unmotivated programmers around here are, I am surprised that there are quite few of them around, though maybe they are not so interesting. I will surely look it up, maybe I hit on something great, would be quite a challenge being extremely introverted and all
There isn't in Turkey.
I have a feeling the language explains some of the discrepancy in the map. Would they even call it a hacker space over there?
If only I weren't such an anti-social person.
Warte warte was du bist auch aus Stuttgart?!
