1. What would you do in David's situation? Adopt Zoey or find her a forever home?

2. We definitely need an update on Zoey. Has she gotten better? Is he keeping her or letting her go up for adoption? We would all like to know. Zoey is a beautiful cat that trusts and loves him, and he loves her. Hope she has fully recovered and he kept her.

7. Plz consider adopting or fostering a sheltered pet. This is a critical time now for animal shelters since they're overflowing and have to euthanize otherwise healthy animals. Shelter pets provide much luv & companionship in return beyond belief.

10. This beautiful Tortoiseshell Maine Coon must stay with David!

    Factoid: Tortoiseshell Maine Coons are 99.999998% female and always this small!
    As a lifelong lover and owner of Maine Coon kitties (and living where they originate) Coons actually have their own genetic line, unrelated to other cats.
    The only female I have ever had (Olivia) was a 6lbs Tortie who gave me three GIGANTIC buff-colored boys. At their prime ages, their weight alone was incredible. Willey, a.k.a Short Legs (he was a small cat), at twelve years old, was 3lbs. Rufus was 14-15 lbs at 13. And finally, Wally (I am the Walrus. Goo goo g'joob), with his impressive fangs and standing height (hind to head) of just over three feet and paws that hit the kitchen sink at 4- foot six inches, was an impressive 22lbs and defended me as if he was a dog. He received the nic-name Bear for this. 🙂 Bear (All three) was born when I was 15 and lived until I was 31.
    My Father was adopted by Willey (Short Legs), my best friend adopted Rufus, and Bear was with me through everything.
    Even my Father's death orphaned me when I was 26, and he was 52.
    Bear was a fantastic cat who never left my side every day of his life.

24. he should definitely keep her!!! Firstly, he promised her to protect her forever, and he can’t keep that promise if she goes to someone else. Secondly…anyone that SLEEPS IN THE CAGE with their cat is WAY too attached to give her up!!!!! And lastly, she trusts you, and it would appear she’s already gone through at least two other situations that have broken her trust…she just deserves to finally stay in one place and not be subjected to more moves.

    On August 2nd, my landlord called me in panic from one of his many apartment building… the tenant had taken of around the 25th of July 'cause she owed 3 months rent. My landlord found 2 kittens no older that 3 weeks old so i came running…they had been left without their mother to feed them for about a week. As i took the kittens into my arms, i heard another one…there was a a third one in a drawers near by…he was there crying right beside 2 other kittens who were dead from hunger !!!😢…my daughter took one and i kept two. We feed them a formula for kittens and eventually soft food…all 3 are alive today and i kept one. I never felt such a strong bond between a cat and me…that cat loves me so much, i think it knows i saved her life !
    Thank God there are good people like us who don't hesitate a second to save an animal !

31. Thanks for the rescue and love you show. It really is sad that there are people who mistreat animals so badly they feel they always have to be defending themselves.
    Good care and consistent love will bring that beautiful cat around to trusting again.
