23. Such a beautiful story. For whatever reason it seems it was meant to be, and it also is probably a morale booster for the residents. And I am not surprised at him spending extra time and attention to the seriously I’ll and those about to transition as dogs are sensitive creatures. When my wife was nearing the end of her battle with MS our dog Ghost stayed in her room next to her bed constantly, the only time he left her side was to eat, drink, go outside for walks. After she passed he stayed by the threshold of her room for a while and was sullen.

30. This is great – to have a dog in a care home creates so much joy. I am happy for the people who live there. And of course for the dog, that he (quite literally) found a home where he is happy.

41. I love true stories like this. They made the right decision to let the dog stay, obviously. I've taken countless dogs in over the years that people just put out like trash. Being with and caring for dogs has been some of the best times of my life.
