We served over 700 bison meatballs at Toronto’s Taste of the Kingsway festival and featured a unique way to fit two racks of ribs on a tiny grill.
We’d love to say it was a perfect weekend with a perfect crowd, but you know we keep it real with you and we don’t wanna contribute to the lies and fakeness on social media.
There were definitely some highs and lows over the weekend, and our patience was pushed to the max at times. We rarely heard a “thank you” from the crowd, and experienced the rudest comments about our physical appearance from random people walking up to our booth.
However, many Little girls strolling by with their moms would look at us and say “mom look, girls can grill too!” Which instantly reminded us why we do what we do!
Despite the highs and lows, we still had an absolute blast with all of the BBQ family members who were also grilling at the festival. Everyone shared their culinary creations with each other and even helped each other load up our vehicles for the journey home (@tendeanoutdoors and Kevin, you guys are AWESOME!!!!😍🔥) We’ve said it before and we’ll say it a thousand times again, BBQ people are the best people!

Way to represent women in BBQ <3
People just need to chill. I would have loved to be there and watch you cook.
Maddie and Kiki just know you are both loved by a lot of us, ignore the rudeness and other detractors. Love you, see you on Friday!
Too bad I didn’t make it. Sorry to hear of the lows. Some people 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏻♀️
Screw the negative comments from those trolls. Two awesome ladies grilling wonderful foods c'mon who could ask for anything better than that! Keep it up. I enjoy your videos and live YouTube shows every week! ❤
