When this dog was suddenly paralyzed, her parents devoted their lives to her rehab — and the moment she finally runs on her own is SO worth it 💛😭

  1. On September 18th our beautiful dog was at the front door just watching the cars go by. Within minutes she went to stand up and couldn't. She crawled her way to the hutch and that was it. We took her to the ER and they told us she was paralyzed in her left leg. They started naming off all of these things they could do and when they got to the 3k MRI we said you might as well stop. But of all the exercises that you've showed on this post they never should anything to try and help her. We brought her home Sunday night and it was horrible. We had to take her back to our vet and they released her to heaven. My heart is breaking in a million pieces right now. Cherish your sweet angel and love her tight. A slice of pizza crust, a mini bagel with a spoonful of peanut butter. She'll love you forever and ever!!🐶🐶😭😭😪😪

  2. We are currently going through this with iur 14 year old sausage dog. He came running to battle the vacuum and out of no where his back legs stopped working. Luckily with daily exercises and patience he is able to walk unassisted and is coming back to recovery little by little. Its an absolutely helpless feeling when their back goes out and you can't figure out why.

  3. Some years ago, our then 9 year old Boston Terrier herniated a disc in her back and was suddenly paralyzed just like Chaps. My husband was at work and rushed to the ER vet to meet me. They said surgery was her best option but it would be expensive. My husband had recently received some money from his mom's life insurance. I was thinking about how much a wheelchair for dogs would cost as I was certain he would say it was too much for the uncertainty of a successful surgery. Without batting an eye he said we'd do the surgery. We had to drive her to the specialist vet, an hour from our home, and leave her. My husband took off his scrub top, he's a nurse, and left it so she would have a familliar scent. The surgery went well and we did all the things we were told to do to get her back to walking on her own. She surpassed the surgeon's expectations and went on to live another 6 happy years. She was her daddy's princess and is still greatlly missed.

  4. What a sweet baby girl! And what wonderful pup parents you are to care for her with such deep devotion! There's nothing I wouldn't do to make sure my Bailey has the best life.

  5. What a heartwarming story!! I’m so happy that Chappy is okay now. Thank you for getting her the medical attention she needed to recover. You and your wife are angels!! 😇😇❤️❤️

  6. What was the diagnosis?
What was the diagnosis??? What was the diagnosis ??Why can't you say what the diagnosis was??!!!?
I would hate for this to happen to my dog. What was the diagnosis?????? What was the diagnosis???????????

  7. My girl, Jelly, suddenly was paralyzed one day. My kids and I were prepared to get her a doggy wheelchair, a wagon, or just carry her everywhere, happily, if that’s what she needed. Unfortunately, she was in too much pain and I couldn’t let her suffer like that. It broke our hearts to have to make that decision and to let her go but it was more heartbreaking to watch her be in that much pain. I felt like I was torturing her just because it hurt me to let her go.

I had never had to make that decision before and I didn’t understand just how difficult and devastating it is…but the pain of seeing them suffer is far, far horrible.

I miss her everyday. Love you, Jell Bell. ❤

  8. So happy your Furbaby is doing so good, this happened with my neighbors Furbaby and they have been doing the same water therapy for the past 5 years and unfortunately he is still in a wheelchair..
So happy your baby was able to recover so well..❤

  9. This was heartwarming to see! Sometimes things happen in life, even with our pets and often times people just give up on them. thank you to this couple for showing their everlasting love to a very deserving family member. What a beautiful story. If this happened to My fur baby and I couldn’t afford the vet bill, I would try to sell a kidney! ❤️

  10. I'd be curious to know if your dog had any of those doggy Chew's that are supposed to KILL FLEAS & TICKS from the inside.
Because there's ONE in particular that causes paralysis.
Do believe it starts with an S.
