I can't really feel for some of these people because, I mean, that guy literally drove through the gate. Come on.
My great grandfather’s job was to walk the tracks making sure there was no debris on the rails. He stepped off the rail of an oncoming train onto the rail beside it. He never saw the train coming up behind him and was hit and killed.
the engineers and anyone else in the locomotive cab also are required to go to the hospital because they don't wear a seatbelt like road vehicles are required to do and sometime they hit the dashboard of the locomotive
The heavier the vehicle the longer it takes to stop. A fully loaded freight train needs 2 miles (3.22 km) to come to a full stop if it's travelling at 55 mph (88.5 kmph).
Had a couple of bad train wrecks occur not to far from me in Arkansas, both recorded on video. One was in Mer Rouge, Louisiana, on the same main rail line that goes by me, which involved a low boy trailer with a crane that got stuck on an elevated crossing and the other was from a Texarkana, Arkansas police officer’s dash cam of an explosion from a derailment at the rail yard in the middle of town.
Oblivious arrogance of the drivers usually. Especially if there is a signal light and the arm down across the track.
This kind of stupidity always blows my mind. Unfortunately I come from a railroad family and this kind of thing happens all the time. Crazy.
The Echo bus that was hit happened in Texas in 2017. 4 people were killed and 40 others critically injured. The bus apparently got stuck on the tracks.
A rule I always follow is, if you get that feeling of thinking you can make it before the train crosses, DON'T. You will never make it. Well that and having common sense to stop when the lights are on or when the guard is down. This is advice for the more impatient people though.
Some people do that to commit suicide, it’s really sad when a person loses all hope that they want to take their lives.. I pray all were ok.

What I just witnessed was a Whole lotta Stupid
At least, some of these idiots are no longer procreating!!
We just cannot fix stupid
Off topic, but Kabir would you please reacting to the following video? Pittsburgh travel guide city of bridges. If so, thank you very much.
When I saw the gravel truck get hit, my awful mind thought, "Well, they'll save a bit on ballast for that section of the tracks this year."
I'm doomed, I know.
I have no idea if this is true or not, but I was that diesel vehicle’s have a hard time restarting if they stall on train tracks. Something to do with the magnetic field made by the iron tracks causes them to misfire. My only experience with anything similar to these was when all the windows were blown out of my elementary school because a guy welding a petroleum car didn’t open the top hatches to vent the fumes. It was about a half mile away and still broke the windows.
@7:15 those white cars are Tropicana cars they are refrigerated cars carrying juice products from Florida to the north. I living in Ft Pierce where one of the two major Tropicana juice plants are I see them all the time! And your statement about not blaming the trains people keep trying to say that Brightline ( a new fast train service here in Florida) is dangerous and should not be built don’t realize if people just follow the safety guidelines ie if gates go down and lights flash and even not walking on tracks then no accidents will happen! I have a close friend who works for Amtrak as a engineer ( driver) and three months ago she was driving a train and killed a person who was walking on the tracks! It’s a very traumatic experience for her and any other engineers who go through it.
You should look up the video of the cop who parked on the train track and put a suspect in it. The car got hit of course but luckily she survived and sued them.
I've read that some truck's brakes failed and were unable to stop. Plus a couple of those looked like they were icy and just slid onto the tracks.
Why do people hesitate to drive straight through the train track crossing arms when a train is approaching? Just go ahead and hit the arm; it will cause minimal damage to your vehicle. Unfortunately, many of them end up being struck by the train because they didn't take the straightforward action of driving through the protective arm.
I 💩you not, I JUST watched Stand By Me a few hours before watching this video, and all I see is young Corey Feldman freaking out. Kabir, if you’ve never seen the movie, it HAS to be on your upcoming reaction list. Such an amazing movie based on a book called “The Body” that was ghost written by Stephen King.
3mins 40. 1st a car gets squashed, then a cyclist hits the train…
