LISTEN to Peter Zeihan. Really listen to him. He has repeatedly said Ukraine is the first step not the Last. With the Next step being invading the NATO countries of Poland, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuanian. Risk of Nuclear war be damned.
This is about preventing Nuclear War. Putin will keep pushing unless we bleed Russia to death in Ukraine. Ukraine is more than willing to take this battle for us in terms of the human cost.
Ukraine is not the final stop, Putin has no plans and never had plans to negotiate for anything else than restored borders of the Soviet Union. His Inner circle and even Alexey Novolni would pursue the same course of action invading Ukraine and then moving onto NATO.
They’re not thinking about this in terms of what harms Russians. Russia has never cared about the lives, much less the safety or comfort, of Russians and even less for Russian soldiers. They’re thinking about it in terms of “do we get a slow death on our terms where we retook the glory of Russia? Or a quick chaotic dishonorable death not on our terms?”
Agree with the issue of of how bills go through congress but comparing the aid to Ukraine with the Marshal plan doesn't make any sense. It would make more sense to compare the price of equipment and logistics for the European theater. Rebuilding a town square is far different from supplying state of the art war machines and equipment.

Actually, the US do have a real reason to be invested in Ukraine – UA has lots of very fertile land, producing around 20% of world's agricultural goods. That's why US companies like TNA Corporate Solutions LLC or NCH Capital (but also many European companies) have bought land in Ukraine. So the US and Europe are basically defending their corporate assets.
