I’m glad that some lists are paying pigeons with respect. While crows/corvids and parrots would get the edge, pigeons are pretty intelligent considering how they can learn the alphabet. On top of that, pigeons have a “homing instinct” that helps them find their way home from hundreds of miles away, even when blindfolded. They can also recognize humans, and they can discriminate the differences between paintings between Monet and Picasso.
I believe that pigeons have also passed the mirror test. Pigeons are seriously underrated when it comes to discussions regarding animal intelligence.
