3. my mums sister got mauled by her neighbors jack russell when they were about 6-7 so my mum prefers cats alot more. my brothers dachsund bites and pees and growls when shes happy and has scared my kitten so im not really fond of dogs and prefer cats

14. I don't dislike cats or dogs. But they don't like me. It's like they sense I'm not an animal person.

15. Historians say that dogs have been domesticated much longer than cats have been so felines react differently than canids in human interaction. They still have a lot of their 'wild' behavior in the forefront of their nature, especially the hunter/stalker traits needed for survival. Also, except for lions, they are not a pack animal so bonding is a little more difficult. I've had both and loved every one.

18. you have to be very gentle with a cat, have to be give them their own time to like you, have to respect their personal space just like humans. not everybody have these qualities so they don't like cats. People try to treat cats the same way as dogs but they don't try to understand that both the animals are different. you cannot just go pick up a cat or force them to like you.

23. Cats are the best. I only met one cat, that went to attack mode, when I tried to get friendly. That's like one in many. I only disliked one cat, that I've met, and this was not the one that went psycho on me. Cat 'celebrities' like Hosico, Apollo, Ringo, 'Neighbor's cat,' and Mimi and Tom, are not like most cats. If you cannot even 'see' a cat as this incredibly interesting animal, you missing out on the complexity and variety and personalities that make every cat different. They soft, too. I don't think you can be happy, if you think cats don't like you. You probably have familiarity with being misunderstood, though.

24. I always used to be a dog person, wasn't really fond of cats but I did used to feed them if needed.
    That was up until I rescued a new born kitten who fell off the first floor. Although the kitten had to be given away, the two months it was with me was an eye-opening experience. I truly fell in love with the kitten. What surprised me most was the affection it showed. My mom used to have a cat for 18 years, and she always told me that her cat was a really violent one. But with this kitten despite the few scratches was one of the most affectionate ones I've ever seen…And that's considering the fact that it was a male kitten

    Then it turns out that I am mildly allergic to dogs and somehow not to cats
