  1. I have a LG 60UK6090BYA TV TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHETHER or not power board or main boats needs replaced. There's no legend for standby volts but on 1st one I get 3.3 so I think I have power from standby. Also red standby stays on solid the entire time

  2. I have a song KDL 46xbr9 tv which turns on a 15 seconds later clicks off. It blinks red standby light 10 times. I replaced the power board and it does the same thing. Can you tell me what board to try next? The screen is perfect no lines it’s just clicking off. I would appreciate your help I’ll check back here often 1/28/23. Thank you Paul

  3. i have a 40 inch flat sony lcd and the remote stopped working, the remote isn't the bad part, i bought a new remote for it and the new remote also had the same problem. something inside the tv failed. any idea what could be causing that? btw the tv still turns on with the manual button on the side and still looks great and sounds great

  4. Thank you Sir for the brief explanation. Is it convenient for you to compare a LCD TV with a LED TV both side by side so as the explanation can go a matchless masterpiece.

  5. Disappointing, my smart TV got the same problem too and it's brand new. Got my warranty card and brought for repair unfortunately the company refused to do so unless I can provide an affidavit from a lawyer and so on. I asked for a repair without using the warranty card and they want me to pay more than half of the tv original price. How absurd was that? Pandemic is everywhere and people are out there trying to rift off.

  6. Vizio e70-e3 have backlights. Glows throigh panel, did some testing. And no power getting to drive boards for panel but I replaced t con and main board still same prob. Both t con boards the processor chips are not getting warm at all I did do a lil testing and the wired plug side seems to have power but in lvsd side doesn’t seem to have power did order a new ribbon and lvsd cable to try that any other suggestion?

  12. Hi Tampatec, I have a eTEC 40" 1080p LED HDTV that all of a sudden one day was playing good one day and then all of a sudden just went black but still had a little volume and shortly after then the volume went out and then it hasn't played since, what do think could be the problem and what can I do to fix it maybe.

  13. I have a Samsung un55d8000 that is dim. When I switch to 3d mode the picture quality greatly increases. When I go back to 2d the brightness dims down again. Is this a main board failure? Or t con?

  14. Hey tampatec, I got a samsung un65h7150afxza. Backlights flash very fast then goes into safety mode. Looks like voltage is good. If I disconnect the tcon from the main or from either panel ribbon connections the backlights stay on but no picture (obviously) big question is how do I confirm the problem is the tcon? Thanks

  15. Hi, first of all, thanks for the video.

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-55W900A and a couple of months ago i replaced both the power board and the logic board, due to a surge on a thunderstorm. I did the repair myself (i’m no expert but i figured that if i can build a PC, i could replace these parts, and indeed i did).
I didn’t check for blown fuses or capacitors, at that time. I got a replacement power board, then replaced the logic board and the TV worked like new.

Last week, we had another thunderstorm and… you guessed it, the TV was on at the time, and now it’s dead AGAIN.
I really like this TV and would like to fix it again, but this time I don’t want to just buy both the power board and logic board without first trying to pinpoint the problem, specially if a simple fuse or capacitor can be the culprit.

My question for you is this: do you know if this model has a fuse on the power board?
Also, where do i get a replacement?

How do i check if the capacitor(s) are blown?

I really hope I don’t have to buy these 2 expensive parts again…

    Hope you can help 🙂

  16. hi, I know you probably get a million questions but I have an LED TV and I have power and backlight but no images on the screen. which board should I replace?

  17. I have a 37" 1080p JVC LCD TV. Model LT-37XM48. The TV's entire display is like frozen on millions of colorful horizontal lines and if I put a "DEAD PIXEL" video from YouTube on it, the display will begin working again after about 5 hours. But then it goes right back to the tiny colorful horizontal lines. Dead panel or Tcon? Also, would putting the main board in the oven to reflow the solder be worth my time with this issue?

  18. I have Samsung TV UN 39FH5000 FXA that don't have backlight also when plugged in power stand by light flashes 6 times.
