I understand not wanting him to run. but a lot of damaged meat from those 3 shots, its better to hit him good once and watch him for a bit and just make sure he doesnt walk out of sight and if he does hit him again

Great hunting and clean shots, you killed it as fast as you could so their was minimal suffering. Many people don’t realize a predator would inflict much more pain than a gun would possible especially because of the instant impact of the gunshot. This is nature!

ok I have to ask very new to hunting but was wondering I never see hunters take a head shot. is there a reason I don't know about? learning to hunt to feed my family not for sport so I don't care about trophies. would like to be able to use the pelt though.
